Title: remaping visual pinball keys.

I was wondering how anyone changed the default buttons in visual pinball or pinmame. ive seen it done, but cant find out where to change the keys. im using USB Gpwiz 40 interface any help would be great

Open up Visual Pinball.  Click Preferences > Keys

i have tried that but it wont recognize the buttons being pushed

are you trying to map keys like ctrl/alt?

nope, im trying to map the buttons to my control panel, which is scene as a USB game Controller

I'm not familiar with Visual Pinball, but if Future Pinball (same author) is any indication, it isn't made to work with a gamepad.
You'll have to install a keystroke emulator like Joy2Key or Xpadder.  (google it)

It will allow you to map the gamepad keys to keyboard keys.

awsome that seemed to work, hope it didn't mess with the rest of my cab
