Title: capture movies in mame
Post by: Firebat138 on February 23, 2010, 02:29:16 pm
while in mame I have setup a button on my panel to capture cool shots from games like Golden Tee and etc..

1.  When  I do this, the play scream to a halt.

2.  where are they saved at?  and it what format?

3.  Is there a better way to do this?

Thanx all

Are you doing this for a particular project?  Or just recording stuff to have?

I don't have answers for your questions, but my first thought is that a member here, Circo, has made emumovies of the games in Mame.  You can download them and use them instead of a screensaver if I recall correctly.

He may be along to answer some of your questions too.  His quality is top notch.

Sounds like you are doing screenshots in mame?  I have never had any luck using the video capture feature in mame (sorry) I use fraps.  Emumovies will be back up very soon and there is an entire collection of mame videos as well as instructions to convert the current .128 set to .136 naming.

Cool...  This was just for me personally.  I want a button on my CPO to start a program to record awesome shots in Golden Tee and the likes.  I hit a 250 yd shot INCHES away from the pin and just wanted to save it for memory.  :-)

I just pause the game and grab my phone.  I have a few video of holes in one.  Different videos for ALL of my holes in one, NOT multiple videos of one hole in one.   ;D

I completely understand where you're coming from!   :applaud:

For some reason, FRAPS made my computer stutter like crazy when recording and it came out like crap (rhymes with FRAP - LOL).  So I stopped using it.
