ive searched this but nothing on my problem. Like the title says, I cant get mala to find the roms. xml file is there and is about 41 megs, but still I cant get it to find the games. I followed the guide too. using mame0136b and mala105a.

A dumb answer, but are you sure you've got the MAME xml file and ROMPATH set right in Mala (in the options screen under MAME)?

Also, you probably are, but are you running under an admin account. Could be permissions if not.

If you are using the beta then put logging level to debug and it will give a few clues in the log.

Probably just a config error

alright got it. What happened has something to do with how I got the roms. I had them on my mac and transferred them to a pc running windows xp. apparently it didnt like that. so when I redownloaded them again from another pc and then transferred them to this pc, I didnt get any issues. I guess, keep your operating systems the same in mame. thanks the the help though guys.
