Title: Rom giving sound error on loading
Post by: danr4483 on February 19, 2010, 01:41:53 pm
I have a couple of games that when loaded give the screen about not having correct sound or whatnot (where you move the joystick left+right).  I'm using MAME32 and Maximus Arcade....does either have a setting to skip these warnings?

Has anybody else had this problem?

If it says something about sound/video emulation not being 100% accurate, it's just a warning screen so that people understand that it's not perfect.  You can compile your own version of Mame to avoid these types of screens.

The link to compile your own version of Mame is stickied in the software section if you want to go that route.

I've looked at how to compile...I don't think I stand a chance.  :lol

Bummer, I was hoping there would be some sort of a setting that I may have missed.  I know in GameEx you can disable to warning/error screens...but I can't find anything in either of these programs to disable these screens.  No biggy, just thought I'd see if I had missed something.

use an older version. Dunno which one had that skip thing (make sure the game is supported).

I know fer sure Advmame can skip all warnings. It's ver .106.
