Title: extend USB or PSX?

I know this question may sound a little stupid, but I have a homemade control panel with a PSX pad hack, which I use with a USB adaptor on my PC. I need extra lenght for the cable, and I don't know whether to buy a psx extension cable or a USB extension cord. Basically the results would be the same. I dont think I'll have any performance penalty with either method I choose. What would be more sensible for me to buy? I haven't checked prices yet.

check prices.  buy the cheapest.  be smart, sheesh

Keeping in mind that you can always use the USB extension cable on other devices.... digital cameras, scanners, joysticks, etc. What are they $6 at Target and Sams Club?
