Okay read some threads about people adding LEDs to their minipac but cant find any posts about how it is done.
Currently i am using the minipac with the harness, i also have a cpl LEDs kicking about and would like to make a use out of them.
Any help would be appreciated
p.s. my wiring skills aren't the greatest so non-layman terms would be appreciated

I think it depends on which minipac you have. The early ones had a header that was like the one on the ipac for keyboard leds. Looking at the new wiring diagram I do not see this header on the newer minipacs.

The version i have isn't the same as the one displayed on the website, it has a row of 9 pins in 2's going vertically as opposed to horizontally for the harness.
So are these pins used as keyboard LEDs? with the diagram i got with the board, there was nothing on the diagram about these pins.

I think the old minipac header was the same as the one on the ipac.

If you want to run LEDs from the minipac, just use the 5V with a resistor. There are 3 x 5V connections on the new one but it doesn't have connections for keyboard LEDs.
I'm not sure how many you can get away with but you can certainly run a couple off it. I use one on the trackball.

I think he is trying to get the keyboard harness working not just power to the LEDs
