I looked and searched all the information on here, I can get the Aimtrak cursor working in Mame games, but I can't get the trigger to shoot. I checked all my connections, their all connected right. I got the software configured right and the cursor is aimed right, just not the trigger.
I went into the Mame ini information, changed lightgun to 1,etc. I went into the menu by using tab and tried to configure the trigger and still nothing, the trigger is hooked up to a normal microswitch: NO- postive and COM- negative.
Is my Aimtrak LED PCB suppose to light up because mine doesn't. I seen one guy had one on Youtube that lit up. Ive been trying everything to get this working and Ive been working on it since yesterday, Its one of most frustrating things Ive worked on :banghead:
I'm using Mame 135, just the normal command-line version.
Can anyone please help me?

use the aimtrak program and make it as device 1 then set the trigger as mouse left then the send button on the program.
go into emu press tab and the under button 1 press enter on the keyboard then when it is ready to assighn a new button now use the trigger & also make sure your pointing it at the screen when you pull the trigger.

I have it shooting now, but the aim is way off. It does not calibrate correctly in the Aimtrak software, I shoot in the same spot but it doesn't hit.
edit: I have the games calibrated in Mame just fine, but I still have a problem getting it calibrated in the Aimtrak software, I will try to figure this out tomorrow.

make sure your leds are pointing at the gun
make sure your aimtrak pcb eye can see your leds and clear the upper lip of the gun barrel
then you just shoot each arrow when it stops in the left corner right corner and center bottom.
if it does not register still try standing closer/further
still no go make sure your lighting around you is not too bright
also some may need to be manually calibrated through the F2 service menu
