Title: Polyeurethane vs Clearcoat
Post by: said7 on July 25, 2003, 10:53:08 am
After I finish painting my cab im going to do one of the fallowing.

I like the deep glass look of polyeurethane but was advised by somebody at Home depot that when it dries it leaves a yellowish tint. Any truth to this?

Clear coat would be nice as well but is it available in rollable paint? I have only seen it in spraycans.

advise?

Polyurathane will leave a slight tint, but unless it is white, or a light color, you probobly wont notice, and thats only if you put rather thick layers.

Thanks,

I went this weekend and picked up some polyeurethane water based.

I first tried putting it on with a roller but it started to bubble. So i busted out the good old spray gun and put about 3 coats on it.

Looks great!
