Hi there,
I have an Asus p5g41 motherboard with onboard video and want to buy an ArcadeVGA but on the Ultimarc site
it says you need to be able to disable the onboard video in the BIOS. I can't seem to find that setting but my
motherboard does work with an other videocard hooked up so it probably won't be a problem.
Anyone with a similar setup?
Thanks,
Marten.

Some boards automatically turn off the onboard video when a video board is plugged in the PCI-E slot.

Oh that's how it works, great!
I'll just order the ArcadeVGA then.
I got my SCART TV working with soft 15KHz but like that the ArcadeVGA works even before Windows
is done loading.
Thanks for your help.

And if it doesn't disable automatically, you might be able to disable the onboard video through the device manager.

Okidokie, hope it doesn't get that far. ;D
Thanks!

I don't have that motherboard, but I believe you need to go into the advanced bios menu and look for the "Initiate Graphic Adapter" option. Change the option to "PCI/PEG"

Hi Bpark,
I've been through the entire bios but found no such setting.
Because it's a pretty new motherboard it's probably switches automatically like J.Max said.
Thanks anyway.
