Title: ideal thickness black plexi for bartop bezel?

im looking at getting some plexi for a bartop i'm going to be starting on. what thickness (ie. 1/4, 1/8) would be ideal for a bartop bezel?

using 1/4" here. Its not really necessary imo, but its very stout and looks great. It was only $1.50 more for the 1/4" so i went with it.
