Well here goes the bashing,
The Simpsons have totally sold out with their Coca-Cola commercial! I know they put their logo and images on everything (t shirts, coffee mugs, toilet paper) but never anything (other than Butterfinger) commercially branded. or Am I just being silly?
Good commercial though!

"Silly" isn't the word I'd choose...
:D

Were those advertisments in the USA? If so, Ive never seen them.
I guess I'm just silly!

I'm just happy it wasn't Peter Griffin pushing Coke.
I, and everyone in attendance for the game, thought the Simpson's Coke commercial was lame. I love the classic look of the bottle, but really, how often do we see or buy them (in the US at least)?
-
All of those ads posted and nobody mentioned Butterfinger?
As a die hard fan of the Simpsons, even I admit quality has been declining for a few years. IMHO, they could have done worse with this Coke ad. At least it looked good...

*BEST THREAD EVER!*
(are any ads missing? Post them!)

Mentioned in the first post, which is why I didn't post any.

Ah Damn it all...

Also, while this wasn't a TV advertisement, a while back 7-11 teamed up with the Simpsons to turn several of their stores into Kwik-E-Marts. I made sure to swing by the Burbank store to check it out in person back when it was going on and still have a 6-pack of Buzz Cola and a box of Krusty O's in the cabinet.

As the commercial was airing I asked the room when was the last time they had Coke out of one of those bottles - no one had ever even had one!
-
Was that just the regular old school glass bottle? I see those all the time. Can't say I ever buy any but I do see them.
-
Here in AZ, you can often find Coke from Mexico on the shelves in grocery stores, in the original glass bottles, made with sugar, not corn syrup.
:applaud:
-
Yup. The mexican place here orders the cane sugar stuff. $1.50 a bottle, but goes good with a burrito.
-
Walmart always has the glass bottles in 6-pack boxes. Its rare to find it in other grocery stores.
-
Publix (regular grocery store) and Costco both carry bottled Coke here in Miami. Not sure whether Winn Dixie carries it. I never buy it because it's much more expensive, but I agree that it tastes better, in spite of it being the same corn-syrup recipe found in the cans.
-
Stupid Simpsons show! Be less commercial!

On a similar note, nothing beats the fountain Pepsi with a nice Taco Bell meal. And I'm not usually a fan of fountain sodas (especially at Movie Theaters!).

i don't think its possible to "sell out" when they have never said no to any merchandising offers, ever... think back 15 years to all the massive amount of crap with the simpsons on them. this is nothing new.

I'm at work so I can only see the link text. From what I see, I think there's one missing, which I thought was funny: The Toyota Corolla commercials.
A google search seems to indicate this is it but again, can't see from work.

Think you aimed and missed on that last one.
