Hope its a good game!
:)

Eff the Colts.
-
I agree with the little girl from Play60, Saints are gonna win 100-26 ;)

American Football

I was playing 1 v 100 on Live today (live show, too) and that was the first question for one guy. And he needed to waste a "help" on it. Specifically, it was:
Which team wasn't playing in the Super Bowl today?
Colts, Saints, or Panthers.
-
Saints win
-
That was an excellent game. Glad the Saints won since Indy just won a few years ago.
-
Agreed, it actually was nice to see the underdog win.
The Saints have a great story, and the game was fun to watch!

I watched the 4th quarter and it was pretty good.
-
Another thrown game for Vegas (interception) that is.. lol

The second half on-sides kick was succesful and the momentum had taken the Saints to Victory! The Saints did their job and kept the Colt offense off the field.
I really didnt care which team won.
I am tired of hearing about what New Orleans had endured the last five years (which has absolutley nothing to do with the team). Yeah yeah yeah, New Orleans suffered after the hurricane and had to play their games elsewhere, but really has nothing to do with the team they have today.
And do we need 6-8 hours of pre-Super Bowl game coverage? Year after year it is the same crap, how the team(s) performed during the regular season, the playoffs then comments from the coaches, other commentators, celebrities and sappy, wah wah give em a tissue story how some player 'overcame' some sort of adversity that was usually self inflicted and no cares but they have 6 - 8 hours to fill.
And really, does it matter 6-15 years into the players career what college they went to? Is this really something that the average fan needs to know?
How stiff was Roger Daultry with his performance? Looked like he was propped up with a microphone stand and barely moved although he can still sing!

Oh, the one with the oval ball made of leather.
Right. I was watching Felix the cat reruns.

LMAO . . . yet it sounds like you watched all 6-8 hours of it. :laugh2:

No didnt watch any of the pre-game stuff because it is the same every year!
I thought the same with the Who's performance, as you could clearly see the lip-sync and the off beats of the drums and the mis-cues of the singing, but the recording did get better as it went along.

(Am I turning into a crotchety old man?)

If this pattern of age keeps up I fully expect to see Jerry Lee Lewis at halftime next year.
I still say they need to get Van Halen up there - one song Dave, one song Sammy, and one shot of the dude from Extreme arguing with security that yes he actually does have a pass to get in.
-
CT - I like the idea of the Van Halen half time show! But I think the half time show is for the older set now as Janet with her boob popping out has infuriated the FCC. So I guess seeing our favorites of yesteryear in various geriatric stages is a safe bet for the TV audiance.
It would be funny to see Gary Cherone on the sideline with a fake backstage pass trying to get in! >:D

Erm, Van Halen is a favorite from yesteryear in a geriatric stage.

You don't think Van Halen is older? They have been around since the early to mid seventies!!
-
Eddie Van Halen is less than a year younger than my parents.
-
I thought Paul McCartney did a nice job a few years ago.
As for Jerry Lee Lewis, he can still get the job done behind the ol' ivorys.
-
I thought Springsteen did well. Not my type of music but the performance was good.
I still have a scar from watching Up With People at halftime during the Patriots' destruction by the Bears.

He he. Forgot about that one. Super Bowl XX was a great game though.
Springsteen was so good my kids (who are not fans) made me rewind the halftime show so they could watch it again.
I'm a big Who fan. I was a little disappointed in the performance but still enjoyed it. Hard to admit it but they are showing their age.
-
Super Bowl XX was the first one I ever saw. Before that, I didn't live with anyone that cared about football (I don't care about football, but still watch the super bowl).

I'm born and raised here in Louisiana and still here. Saints fan for 23 LONG YEARS! I have seen it all with this team. You have no idea how big of a win this is for us here. Saints just wanted it a lot more than Colts. I was more afraid of Minn then Indy (Minn could be the real best team in NFL but they lost). Just funny to me before game all I heard was "Manning greatest QB ever" now all I here is "Manning losing record in playoffs" LOL BTW I'm who dat OUT. I been saying Who Dat since 1987 but now that everyone is saying it Who Dat got old FAST lol
