I did a search but didn't find to many threads that gave specific answers on where to buy laminate from.
I'm located in CA and would like to have options for laminate. I was thinking of something other than black and figure someone must know a supplier.
I went to my local Home Depot and Lowes and they didn't have anything.
Is it possible to buy from a distributor for better price?

Home Depot will order anything you want (it's a bit pricey though - $80 for a 4x8 sheet or something). Did you try calling some local contractors that specialize in kitchens or something where they might be using laminate? I tried (in NJ) and after a few weeks of striking out I just ordered from Home Depot. Most places wanted a bulk order or something to make it cheap but it ended up being a big hassle.

our lowes and menards carry them also.

Thanks for the link! They have some really nice colors. I'm considering going with a 70's retro cabinet design with perhaps a beige or brown colored laminate.

For my laminate, I just went on formica's website and sent an email to know the local distributors. I live in Canada and it was a lot cheaper than in home depot. I also could have bigger sheets (less scrap).
Apparently they've changed their website and you can know the distributors directly at this addess :

The distributors should carry most of formica colors.
