I presume, of course, that these are the Zizzle machines, not the Sterns (if they're the Sterns, somebody pick me up a dozen).

Cheers

They're getting pretty good reviews on rec.games.pinball.  There are, of course, some of the "it ain't a real pin" guys, but overall among those who are reviewing it for what it actually is, the sense is that it is well built and a damn good value.

Enjoy 60 seconds of familiar sound effects, music and voices from the movie

Wow, they really went all out.

I assume you're being sarcastic but think about it. 60 seconds of speech and music clips is A LOT. (That's the same as a full length commercial!)

Yeah, so I picture that same commercial playing over and over throughout every single game. I guess for some people, that machine would work out perfectly, but I would probably go bonkers with the repetition.
Just flipped through the Bestbuy ad for today, and it looks like it went back to $349 around me.

You just don't get it.

He's right, it gets extremely repetitive really fast.  Think that they probably save 20-30 seconds of those SFX for special situations like Wizard mode and such.  In one game I played today the machine must have said "Not as easy as it looks, is it?" about a dozen times on one ball.

What's interesting is that they spent some of that 60 seconds on EM-style bell sounds; you'd think they'd just put in an actual bell and save the memory for voices.

Um....we already have a thread going on this machine under the "Zizzle" title. How about we keep everything under one thread?
