Title: Pandora's Box Video issue.
Post by: arnthestampede on May 04, 2018, 05:38:54 am
Hello, I was wondering if you knowledgeable folk could help me identify what the issue is I am having here.

I have a recently acquired Pandora's box 5S (probably a Chinese knock off) and have it hooked up to my RGB monitor directly (using R, G, B, and Sync RCA cables) the buttons and ground wires are all hard wired straight to the game board.

Boots up fine and the menu displays okay (maybe a bit over saturated) but when I boot into any game I get a strange image, the colours are all over the place and black waves go across the screen whenever any action takes place. Here is a video of SF Alpha:

I have tried linking all ground points, video ground on pin 14 only, and every combination in-between. I have also tried 2 different power supplies, a standard Jamma switching one and a 12v power cord that came with the box.

Another strange thing also happened, when I connected the box to VGA it boots up fine and image looks good but none of the buttons work?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
