Title: What kind of joysticks should I use for my 4 main player controls and 1 4-way?

Like the title says, which are the best joysticks to use for a normal arcade 4-player setup?  And what is the best 4-way dedicated joystick?

They must have the ability to allow light through if I can substitute out an opaque washer for a clear one for an LED to shine through.

Your requirement of having them light up basically rules out almost all the good sticks.

What are the good sticks.. and why can’t you mod them?
