Hi Shawn, Please PM me. Thank you!
-
Hi Shawn,
Thanks for your PM, unfortunately I am unable to respond as this site produces "An Error Has Occurred! You are not allowed to access this section" message when I try to respond or even click on your name. My account is active, but I guess an Admin may need to do some final approval... I was just interested in your last non-HD MP3 player. Thank you!
-
you need to actually contribute a certain number of posts to the forums before you can do that. it's to make sure you aren't a spammer just signing up to solicit the users. That's why you are getting the error message. It should probably just say you haven't reached the minimum number of posts to do this action instead of a cryptic error message.
it's only like 5 or 10 or something like that. been such a long time. post around and comment a bit on some posts and you'll be running in no time.
-
Thanks so much lilshawn! I couldn't decipher that error message or find an answer in the FAQ, but I have since gained the ability to reply to PMs.
Thank you!
-
sold out again. will repost when/if more become available.
-
Signing up for updates to this thread! I just picked up a trio of CD100s at an auction today (a G and two Hs). Would love a little MP3 love in them.
-
for sure, i'll post here. Congrats on your purchase.
-
I know that I am pretty late to this party, but my neighbor just gave me a cd100b. It will put the disk on the reader, spin back and forth a few times, then it says that disk isn't available.
I am pretty sure this means a bad laser based on all I have read.
I was hoping to switch over to mp3 in order to reduce the number of moving parts. Do you have any more of these kits available? I would not need the hard drvie, just the kit.
Cheers,
Jimmi
-
it does sound like a motor or laser problem.
I literally just threw one on my desk this morning. I have DLinkOZ in line for one if he's still interested (i'll pm him now and see) if not, I'll set something up with you Jimmi_Jones.
I'll get back at you, keep an eye on your messages.
-
Grab it, Jimmi_Jones! I had a time crunch, so had to pay full price for it. Even with that, it's worlds better than the standard CD player and I'm very happy I bought it. Track changes are 1-2 seconds.
-
I want it. I also have been checking my pm's but apparently I am too new to send you one, or reply or something. I can be reached at ryancase at linuxmail dot org
I am out of town with the family this weekend, but will be back home on Monday, is that soon enough to finalize the transaction?
-
Really need one of these... take it no more available?
-
not yet. I'm hoping next week or the week after i'll have a couple.
I will post an update post here when i have more.
keep your eyes peeled, they have been going fast.
-

-
Hey!
Im searchin for a CD100MP3 conversion kit as well. lilshawn, is there still a possibility for getting one kit from you?
greetings from germany!
-
Hi lilshawn,
Do you have / will have some CDadapter ? for Rowe CD-51 or MSN ES-IV.
-Simon-
-
no, those 2 models need a specially programmed version of the CD adapter to work with the computer in the jukeboxes. the CD100x series units won't work with them.
we only ever ran the 100 series units so we only ordered the 100 series adapters.
-
My CD-51 works like a CD-100 with the latest CD-100's firmware 4.3.
But, I bought a NSM Galaxy with a dead laser diode in the CDM-3 player.
-
okay i see, you've modified the 51 to be basically a 100. then yes, assuming the CCC is in the 408322XX series it would probably work.
the NSM could be easily repaired. Happ sells replacement laser units for them so you can rebuild them.
https://na.suzohapp.com/products/jukebox_audio_equipment/95-2001-00
you might be able to find them on ebay too. they are a super common laser assembly and a super common issue with the laser bonking out.
-
Hi Iam from Australia and I am interested in the conversion I have rowe cd100-c that the changer is broken
-
