all of my mp3s are organized in folders by artist, then album. I use my xbox media center to listen to music alot also. anyway, in each album folder, i have a folder.jpg file with the album cover.(it is named this way so windows will show the album cover also). I also have a folder.jpg in the artist folder, which is like the band logo.(because it makes it nicer when scrolling through my music on my xbox). however in SK Jukebox, some of the albums come up displaying the logo for the artist instead of the album art. for example:
inside my music directory, there is a folder for the band Chevelle, inside that is
Point #1 - (folder for that album, contains MP3s and coverart.jpg)
This Type of Thinking - (folder for that album, contains MP3s and coverart.jpg)
Wonder Whats Next - (folder for that album, contains MP3s and coverart.jpg)
Chevelle.jpg (band logo)
however in the SK Jukebox, all 3 of the chevelle albums show up with chevelle.jpg as the cover art, instead of the cover art that is located inside the albums folder.
how do i fix this? i dont want to get rid of the band logos, is there a way to force it to load the album art that is located in the same files with the mp3s?

It should be working that way, so the only thing I can think of is that the album art that is not showing is marked as Read Only.

That took care of it, i dont know what happened. alot of my folder.jpg files that were in the album folders were set as Hidden System files. i find a cool little shareware program that let me reset the attributes on all of them at once, as soon as i did that, the album covers showed up.
thanks for your quick reply. i just discovered this software like 2 days ago, but I love it. Now that this is working, i can start building the cabinet for my jukebox.

If you know DOS/Command Line commands, you don't need a program to do that. 'attrib -h -s *.*/s' in the root of your music path would do it. Also, if using 2000/XP, right clicking the folder & hit Properties. Unticking the Read Only tick and hitting OK should ask you if you want to apply that change to all files & sub-folders underneath. :)

i knew the attrib command, but i couldnt remember the switch to make it do all files including ones in subdirectories.
Read only wasnt the problem, it was the hidden and system attributes. when i right-clicked on one of the .jpg files, the "hidden" box was checked, but grayed out so i coudlnt change it. what a pain. either way, it is working now..

also, another question about the album art, it looks a little blurry and distorted. Like it was stretched using a very low res image. most of the images i am using are 200x200. do i need higher quality coverart? they look fine when viewing them in windows.

Ah yes, I'm used to having to get clients (in my day-to-day job) to clear the RO attribute, so that's what came to mind.
I like to have album art of 500*500....I find it's a good balance between good quality & not too big to slow the program down.
