Title: Vintage Pachinko

Ok, this is a bit off topic, but does anyone here collect or have vintage pachinko machines?  I have 2 from the late 60's early 70's.  Played them when I was kid, but have played them in 20 years or so.  I want to get them working again, but not sure where to start.  Would hate to take it apart and not put it back together again.

After I get my MAME cab finshed im going to be looking into a pachinko machine.   I love the game and my uncle has on thats about 10/15 years old so its kinda new for being in american and I might be able to score it off him.  When japan upgrades they ship the old models arounf the world.  Well if you can get it working you can buy one from ebay.  A lot of the ones of them go for about 30 bucks the last time I looked.

I have a vintage pachinko, myself.  One of the main problems that can cause them not to work is that they get dirt and grime built up in them over the years.  The first place to start in getting them back into working condition is take all the parts off, clean them in soapy water, dry completey, give moving parts a light coat of lubricant, and reassemble.

The parts are somewhat complicated, so you may want to take digital pictures of how everything was assembled before you get started and as you progress through the dissambly.

Yeah, tried to fix one a few years ago and ran into that.  Now that I have a digital camera maybe I will try to take it apart and clean it.  At least with digital you can take a ton of pics and know right away if they are good.  Plus I will make a log so I know what I did when.  When I finish my game room, I will have the 2 games mounted to the wall.  Not sure exactly how I want to do that.

Yeah I saw the faculty site, but not the new one.  Thanks for the help.  I think I will tackle my two machines this summer.  It will look cool around my slot machine.
