Title: CRT Isolation Transformer
Post by: Snache on January 01, 2018, 01:00:46 pm
I have an Operation Wolf cabinet and am in the process of restoring. While I was troubleshooting it I had discovered that the isolation transformer isn't outputting any voltage, but it receives the correct voltage. I am going to replace this transformer, but a 115v to 115v 1 Amp isolation transformer isn't that easy to find and I found a service manual for the CRT that's inside the cabinet (WG K7000) and for input power it says 120VAC +10% --15%, 50-60Hz, 85W (max). Having that information makes me confused as the manual says a maximum of 85W, but the isolation transformer is supplying 115W. I'm basically wondering if the amperage is that important or if I can use an isolation transformer that has a lower or higher amperage. A lot of the transformer I find are 115v tp 115v, but the amperage ranges from 400mA to well over 5A and none are rated for 1A. Any assistance would be a great help.

Thanks

Arcadeshop.com has what you need.  I recently purchased a few iso transformers from Twisted quarter that put out a very high voltage even though they are rated 120 : 120.
