Title: Browser based education games needed for NGO
Post by: Locke141 on August 25, 2017, 02:50:01 am
I'v been helping a friend here in Myanmar (Burma) with a project his NGO is preparing to lunch. In short, smart phones are everywhere here, even out in the hinterlands where the schools are under resourced and people can generally afford much credit for internet.

The project  is to distribute R-pi's pared with routers to serve as captive wifi offline servers to schools. See mymebox.org (http://www.mymebox.org) to get an idea how how it will look. More resources are being researched to be added, like a cashed version of Wikipedia in Burmaies. The NGO is also locally producing an ever growing archive of lessons and curriculum.

I have been asked to help research/find Browser based education games (javascript, HTML5, WedCL. All games need to have licensing favorable for us copied and distributed, so OPEN or games that require attribution both fine.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't know about educational games, but I would definitely want to get Khan Academy available.

That's already part of the plane but with KA Lite (https://learningequality.org/) as it's the offline versions.
