What is Paradise Arcade about?
1) Collaboration, we work to contribute by reaching out to vendors and members to help develop and provide support to develop new products.
2) Contribution, we do more than resell products we look to fill needs in the community.  Beyond the community we have donated over a dozen cabinets to local churches and youth groups, as well as given over 5000 dollars since we started 4 years ago to various charities and community forums.
3) Cost, not only do we offer some of the best prices but with flat rate shipping we offer 2-3 day delivery at some of the best rates.  Think this isn't possible from Hawaii? Because we use flat rate instead of weight for calculation our priority shipping rates are as cheap as you can get!
4) Support, We believe it is our responsibility to not only sell, but to understand our products.  We offer direct technical support on ALL our products.  We believe that by understanding what we sell, we can understand better what to sell, and what new products to create!
5) Passion, Arcade parts are not something we do from 9-5, it is something that we live 24-7.  We not only sell but I have installed every part in our shop at least once.  From working on my Warlords cocktail to helping with a new Mame build, this is much more than a business.

Hey with the translucent IL buttons do you have any images of the colors?  The previous green translucent's from happ were a pretty crappy dark green.

Unfortunately the colors of the green IL are the same, however, we have added this very fun item to our offerings!
Please note that this is a Zippyy joystick, we are producing these on the Paradise "pink top" joysticks:

Hi guys,
Just to say I ordered 2 led balltop joysticks from Paradsie Arcade shop and Bryan was extremely helpful.
I am still a novice on this stuff and Bryan helped me out with what I needed.
I am in Ireland so ordering from the states and surrounding areas is always a nightmare on shipping charges but I was pleasantly surprised with Bryans quote.
I will report back once the sticks arrive.
Cheers.

I think they would be great for trackballs, the solid colors are available for purchase now, the RGB boards are available for sample, but we are waiting for the next version to start selling.  We currently have them with the anode and cathode opposite of what it needs to be for most standard controllers, which will be remedied in a few weeks.

Thank you for the orders and look for more products in the very near future.

Thanks.

Do you have any more information i.e. video output (CGA/VGA etc), interface for spinner?, do they only work in Jamma powered cabs or can you use them in a PC based cab with ATX PSU similar to the 60in1 etc boards?

Do they have a menu system? Can you change the DIPs on each game. Do they save high scores?

Do you know what the games play like? How accurate are they compared to the originals?

I have a few of the boards listed as seperate PCBs but I'm tempted to pick one of these up if they are decent.

Hmmmmm should be 6x10mm threading so... you are either a few to many beers into the weekend or there is a prob with the threading.  Hit me with an email so I can get one out priority today. Keep the piece and I will include a return envelope so I can see and deal with the issue. Mahalo

Post by: Franco B on February 05, 2011, 06:57:58 pm
Thanks for the reply Bryan.

FWIW, the Seimistu/Sanwa shaft thread is M6x1mm pitch. If the balltop isn't fitting that particular shaft then I image the thread is out of tolerance, I would suggest getting QA done on the shafts at manufacture or at least try to screw a balltop on them before they are sent out. You may also want to check other critical dimensions like the lower shaft diameter.

As Donkbaca  said, some fo your links seem to be a bit funky.

This is an example of one of your links, they all seem to have the same incorrect structure:

http://"http//www.paradisearcadeshop.com/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html%22

It should read:

http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html%22 (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/24-arcade-controller-to-usb.html%22)

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I figured it was something with formatting but was going to get into it and edit the whole listing tomorrow...
I will make sure to fix it when I dig in  :)

I appreciate the QA comments this is a really important part of this business.  Before my career change part of my responsibilities was oversight of repairs and a manufacturing line, so I take QA very seriously.

Our typical policy is 100% testing of a first run, and then sampling on subsequent runs.  Sampling rate goes down if we have no failures consistently, but once we have a failure, we usually revert to 100% testing for QA.  While we trust our vendors to do their own QA, we manage that aspect internally.  What this means is that for at least the rest of this run and the next run, all titanium shafts will be tested for proper threading before shipping.  If the rest of these two runs have no problems, we will revert to sampling.

Our policy is also very simple at the customer end, if it's broken, then contact us 95% of the time we will replace it without any issues, 5% of the time we find someone connects 110V to a 5 volt power connection, runs 12V on 5V LEDs or something like that, and most of the time, we just replace it anyways.  We really do see this as a collaborative effort, running our business with happy customers is easier, and more fun.  This is something we do because both Susan and I really do enjoy arcade machines.  If it's not fun(at least most of the time) why do it?  So enjoy the parts, keep the comments coming and look for some new stuff in the next 2 weeks, we have some AWESOME wiring harenesses, some really cool ball tops, and a few other surprises in the near future!

The pushbuttons that you purchased from Paradise Arcade Shop are 100% Happ Controls Pushbuttons.  These pushbuttons were purchased from Happ in a large lot of 5,000 + units.  These pushbuttons were shipped direct from Happ and not one box was tampered with. The pushbuttons without the marking are one of the first lots that were made in China during the transition time between iL and Happ. They did not put their marking on the first lot of pushbuttons.

Great idea, I'll get on that tonight, it's been a few days since I made a video. I guess it's time for a new one...

Plus, we have a brand new product on the horizon.  This is one that is sure to be a crowd pleaser here at BYOAC.  Our development team (which is not me and 2 imaginary friends, at least 2 of us are real. We are however suspicious about the third person) has been hard at work getting together some new products.  So keep you eyes open!

Figured I'd try here as well since an email response was taking a bit - are your Il-Lumination single color button LEDs (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/arcade-pinball-leds/101-super-bright-button-lights-12vdc.html (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/arcade-pinball-leds/101-super-bright-button-lights-12vdc.html)) pre-wired or not?  Going to be placing an order soon and that's a key decision in what LED route to go.

Also, are the prices on the website or in the first post more accurate?  What should we do if there's a discrepancy?

Necro, sorry we were out of town part of this weekend and catching up on emails, the single LEDs are not prewired, and are in limited supply.  We brought those in to offer some options but we are getting 95% RGB orders so we'll probably discontinue them as they run out.

We can't give fully free shipping to Canada, but put a note with your order and we'll refund what it would have cost for shipping in the US, that way you get the same discount.  We do everything flat rate so it's 6/12/15 for shipping.  I wish we could do free shipping to Canada too, but it's a little bit more expensive to ship.

I've been looking at your LED buttons with black and white inserts:  http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/35-led-pushbutton-with-bw-insert.html (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/en/35-led-pushbutton-with-bw-insert.html)

Do you have any labels that say "Exit" (or "Escape").  What does the "Trojans" option mean on your site??  Does it mean custom text?  I have emailed but got no response?

Wow it's been a while since we posted to the sales thread, but we have a few exciting things coming and I thought I would share one.
Here is a very simple adapter that is used to take the inputs from a Gonbes-8150, VGA to CGA adapter and feed that signal directly into a Jamma harness....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcvoW8LOlzE&feature=player_detailpage
Just an easy way to convert a VGA singal and feed RGB into a Jamma harness!

We have a nice little find with a small stock of Slikstik spinners coming available on our site in the near future..

Aloha Cliff, I was under the impression that you have received your complete order. I know you got your joysticks and on the 8th you let me know that I had forgotten the EZ On wires....so I sent them out right away, they were actually the last we had and left us with 10. I had no idea you hadn't gotten them yet!  We will be getting more in about 2 weeks. If you don't want to wait I can send you some daisy chains and refund you for the EZ on wires. My sincere apologies Cliff!

Kudos to Susan.

I had recently placed an order and when i received it, two of the ordered ball tops were missing.  I placed a call, and then the new ones were shipped out that day.  I received the order a couple days later and apparantly they had run out of the ones that i ordered, so she sent a replacement pair of seamless ball tops in the same color.  Thanks!!  Awesome Service!

Well I guess I only have another week to wait then! I figured I would try someone new, and their web site stated they should be back to same day shipping by the end of the week(that was last week). I cancwled my order thru another vendor because the parts I ordwrwd got held up in customs for a week. Thought I could try getting the same parts sooner from paradise. Guess I couldve just waited from the the other vendor and got them within the same time, or sooner! Thus is this hobbie I supoose....

Hey guys, sorry,
We had a phenomenal Christmas season which was great but challenging.  We actually brought Susan's nephew out to catch everything up for 6 weeks.  When he left things were same day, until the surge kept going through Feb........
We purchased a new order handling system, that should expedite order handling and restocking issues.  And I am taking the next week off from the hospital to get Susan caught up and get this system on board so we can about double our order processing rate.  It will also automatically notify all customers of the package progress from the time the order is placed...  Redbeard this doesn't help you for this weekend, but I will take a look at your order if you email me directly armi0024@gmail.com.  If it hasn't gone out I will see if there are some "enhancements" we can add for your wait.

Now.... what is exciting is that the molds are done, the ball tops are in, and the shafts...are almost done!!! What molds?  What shafts, what ball tops????
For those of you that like Sanwa's.... here is a great new mod, only available through us!  The button on the left has our custom molded plunger.... A similar plunger is available for Seimitsu buttons
(https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-LQALpRys5yc/TxqSFz2aP2I/AAAAAAAAAC0/DZ0TxUgSzS0/s720/IMG_8238.JPG)

Custom Sanwa restrictors?  Don't want to drop $5 for a new octagon or circle restrictor plate, we will have them here for about half that starting in March:

Ball tops... a beautiful translucent milky white:

And the shafts???? hmmmm, let's just say you take the white ball top, a 5mm RGB LED and our new hollow shafts... RGB joysticks are now completely possible.  We received the pictures from our vendor a few days ago.  We expect sticks in next week that will allow for RGB installations on:
Happ Super
IL Eurosticks
Happ Competitions
Suzo 500's
X-arcades
Sanwa JLF
Ultimarc Mag-Stik Plus
All shafts will allow for a 5mm LED on top, will fit in our custom ball top threading and we will be stocking RGB LEDs with wires already attached for easy installation.

Do you know yet what the pricing will be on the various components?  (Shafts, LEDs, balltops....)  Also, do you have a white/clear bubble top that will fit the shaft?  I'm just wondering which would look better with the RGB, a clear bubbletop or the frosted translucent...  Sounds cool either way...   ;D
Title: Re: Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
Post by: armi0024 on April 18, 2012, 02:13:35 am
We have a limited number of "samples" in a variety of colors that I may sell off, including clear.  However remember, clear acts as a lense and can be a bit difficult with an LED.

Price point.... 15-20 dollar shaft(these are completely custom stainless steel shafts, and yes we have a limited number for the magstick plus....), 6-8 dolllar ball top, and the RGB LED with wires, I would like to say 25 for the kit plus shipping (some shafts may be more than others, ie. Magstick Plus)
Title: Re: Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
Post by: Mysterioii on April 18, 2012, 08:11:30 am
If the price isn't too high on those "samples" I might pick up a couple AND a couple of the frosted/translucent ones...  Can always swap 'em out from time to time...   :lol   Are the clear samples you have "bubble style" or more of a solid?  Depending on the driver board you can dim the LEDs down quite a bit, I know what you mean by the lens effect but I think some people like to blast their LEDs at full brightness all the time but you really could drop it down quite a bit depending on personal tastes...
Title: Re: Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
Post by: armi0024 on April 18, 2012, 08:56:01 am
Samples will probably go for 6-10 each, They are limited, as in, I need to order at least 100 more to get them gain.  They are all crystal clear.
Title: Re: Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
Post by: Mysterioii on April 18, 2012, 03:32:20 pm
Hmm if they're crystal clear I'd probably pass, though bubble top sounded cool.  I think you have white bubbletops in one size or another on your site but I guess those aren't threaded to fit these?  I'll still be keeping an eye out for the frosted white though.  Do you think you'll have a "slip-ring" assembly for the LEDs like I've seen on other stores?  Since the nature of the Mag-Stik Plus is that there is frequent twisting because of the 4-way to 8-way switch I'm thinking that wires might have a tendency to twist up.  Also because of that handle-twisting nature I'm thinking that screw-on balltops might have a tendency to come loose... so I'll be keeping the loctite handy!   ;D

While you're doing updates, can you PLEASE fix your original post in this thread which incorrectly lists the free shipping code as "FORUMS" instead of "Forums".

ALL ORDERS OVER 100 FREE ARE FREE US SHIPPING WITH "FORUMS" CODE

"FORUMS" doesn't work for free shipping on an order I'm trying to place of $159...
Nep clearly shows what he thought was the right answer.

Forums capitalized should work. If not I will get it fixed tonight!
Protip: Put quotes around the word Forums and drop "capitalized" for actual clarity, since this could be interperted as either "FORUMS" or "Forums".

Nothing personal in this post today, the e-mail last week, or the PM I sent two weeks ago -- all requesting this same correction -- just trying to save customers the frustration of reading to page 2 to find an unclear hint about the correct code and spare Susan the time and bother of doing a chargeback like she graciously did for my last order.

If nothing else, your customers can find the correct code here -- "Forums".

Hmmmm, thought we had fixed this . I will edit the post or Prestashop before we allow orders again.

As a note, emails are easier than pms, most pms are forwarded to email for response... Susan check email daily, if I am getting killed at the hospital I don't get on the forums every day.

Thanks for keeping on it, PL1, hoping to revamp a few things, many of which will be transparent to customers but facilitate our efficiency.

Their web page says they got back yesterday and planned to start shipping orders today.  I wouldn't worry about not having received a reply yet, it's going to take a while to catch up on emails I'm sure.

If you have to place an order today...  well, I wouldn't expect to go to the front of the list.  And they take a little while to ship anyway.

We only turned on the store to accept orders yesterday and I believe all but 2 orders were shipped... before vacation we were down to 1-2 days on all standard orders, ie. orders that were not custom builds, Susan has been busting her rump to get the store running full steam.

We expect 24-50 new products in the store over the next 60 days.  We met with a company who is going to start producing some unique and exciting products while on "vacation".  We are also talking about adding a complete line of cap kits.

I've got a zippy joystick with B.Lee switches (black and red) and I'm wondering if the zippy switches have a smaller travel between engage and disengage?

Brian, as much as I'd love to, my wife won't let me interrupt her dream vacation for something ARCADE-related.

This place is beautiful, Brian. I'm here until Sunday. Any recommendations in town? I'm staying at Aulani.
Title: Re: Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks and more (Honolulu, HI)
Post by: armi0024 on June 19, 2013, 06:15:58 pm
Countless recommendations :)   Doesn't have to be arcade related, we are right by the Waimanalo beach and the southern light house.  On a serious note, we always love visitors and if you give us a heads up we'll clear out the back Lanai so we can grill out while sipping on beers, listening to waves and looking at the mountains...

If you are up at Aulani, I would recommend going up the coast to the end of the highway for a sunset,  bring food.
My favorite place for Fresh Fish is a place called Uncle's out on the pier in town.   Great Poke, only poke I've had that is better is from the fisherman who sells from his truck in my little town.
Teds bakery is a nice break from a drive on the north shore, and there is a road that goes up from the foodland to an old temple up on Pupukea that is beautiful with amazing views and very off the beaten path(ie nice private time)

Thanks for the tips. We're going to hit the North Shore and the eastern part of the island over the next few days, so I'll keep your recommendations in mind.

And if you're serious, I'll run it by my wife. PM me if Saturday works for you.

Anyone have any spec information on the RGB LEDs in the ball tops? I have 4 of them but they don't have current limiting resistors.  I am hooking them up to an Ledwiz which supplies 5v.  I need to know voltage and current of the LEDs or suggested resistance values for 5v.

I am a huge supporter of the magic blue smoke and keeping it in its place inside of electronics.   ;D

Susan and Brian have been nothing short of excellent when I've dealt with them. They're usually very prompt at communication, so perhaps something has happened that has cause them some delay?

Have you tried emailing, or PM'ing them first, before this public shaming?

yes i have many times, believe me i was surprised when i noticed the huge delay, several emails were sent, i got a very vague reply but nothing solid as far as orders go, many of my orders were in on time but also noticed their site was kinda slow so i thought server issues or some maintanance stuff going on, i hope they fix it up because my second order has passed 4 days already and no notification. I dont like to bicker but i ran across their post and thought i'd mention it to them

yes, i figure if they can have someone to advert and chit chat with potential customers then why not have that employee become useful and take care of some orders that HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR, it's an example of what greed can do, how hard can it be to process some orders, after all I sell tons of stuff on ebay as well and it is no brain surgery to process orders

kz1911 just give Susan a call, her number is 651-332-3665, its hard to know what order as all I have from here is your forum name.

Pbj always appreciate the help, but I have got it.

Opt2not thank you

It is not hard to pack a single order or even 20 -40 orders, but there are days when things get away from us.  We are always happy to have you call if there is a concern, which is why Susan's number is public.  We did move 3 weeks ago and two boxes were misplaced, one turned up last night but the other, which had joystick lube in it, is still unaccounted for.  Not bad when we moved over 800 unique products.  We also had a problem with our payment module where some orders we charged but not processed to our store properly. The payment module was supposed to be fixed but we were having to double check PayPal for missed orders.

We do our best to make this work.  It is just Susan and I with a part time packer that comes a few times a week.  For me this is part time and comes after my day job which is 80 hours a week.  Susan was up until 230am last night answering emails and packing orders. And trust me, if I wanted to be greedy, we wouldn't be selling arcade parts.

On a brighter note, the universal plates arrived yesterday!

My question is, when is a 4" Wico replacement shaft going to happen? Light-able or not, I imagine selling 4" shafts with interchangeable balltops at a reasonable cost will be like printing money, there always seems to be a demand for these things. For instance, from me.  ;D

edit: just saw this: http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/hollow-shafts/1041-robotron-reproduction-hollow-shaft-with-wico-ball-top.html (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/hollow-shafts/1041-robotron-reproduction-hollow-shaft-with-wico-ball-top.html)

any chance of colors other than red or a more standard threading?

Yotsuya,  Thanks we were very happy with them.  We are still working out pricing but it will most likely be

Original: 7 each
Small Plate: 7 each
X-arcade: 7.50 each
S Plate: 8 each
Ms Pacman: 8 each

Well Fed, I am going to be doing another shaft order I can add on some 6mm tops for those if someone asked nicely :)
Actually we just thought most people would want the 38mm balls, but I can do a short run that will fit standard balltops also.

It's always good to see our ideas become popular! We asked IL to make a new button for the Howler Project (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2034467396/howler-arcade-controller), and they delivered! (they actually delivered them to us today)
Introducing the Convex Hoku button.
These competition (convex) style IL buttons will be a great addition to your arcade cabinet or fight stick! Combine these with the Howler or Kaimana and the IL-lumination LED boards for an amazing effect!

Hey armi0024,

I sent a few emails in the past couple of days without any response.  Just wondering if everything is ok. I am the one inquiring about the chrome dust washers for my JLF joystick.  I was told by susan that the balltop was already chromed and ready and is pending the dust washers.  Can you please let me know so I can purchase the items.

Thank you.

I've asked before (maybe not through this outlet) but is there any ETA on when Lono2 will be available again?  Any response is appreciated.   :)

The Lono2 is going to be retired
We will be working on a new version that will use the same haressing and operate with the same parameters but is designed for two player.  It will also be a little less than half the price.

We are also going to be carrying the Howler combined controller and may be adding some Ultimarc options. With the large diversityof control options we are considerinf having multiple pcb offerings to allow people to better customize their builds.

Miler, I know you have been in direct contact with Susan, she is working on polishing those dust washers.

Been traveling, Susan has been here holding down the fort!  I'll double check on the emails.

For those who don't know, We purchased a laser about 18 months ago.  We have been gradually increasing our skills at running the laser.  We started simple with our Silent pads for Japanese style buttons, then branched out into some restrictor gates, and finally into cocktail plexis.   We now have worked through about 95% of what we can do with the current set up and will be launching products accordingly.... First up will be some new and stylish Dustwashers.

Forgive the poor photography but I thought I would share a picture of a present we made for a good friend.

PBJ if you send a line drawing of what you want, I have green acrylic.

I'm not going to get into any specifics because it would create a riff on the board that is not needed. But what I said was that while most of your posts make me want to punch you, one post in particular was amusing to me.

We are still working out first class shipping, so if you want to order from the store:
http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/home/1240-turtle-dustwashers.html (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/home/1240-turtle-dustwashers.html)

Please note that if you ONLY order dustwashers you will be charged $6.  As of right now, we will have to refund you the $4 extra after the order.  I am working to get a better system for handling first class and priority shipping but it's much more difficult than one would think.  An interesting note, this is product number 1240 in the store, unbelievable.

Finally...
Forums codes for free shipping on orders over $100?
While facebook is great for marketing, the multiple forums serve as unbelievable resources for people wanting to build a machine or arcade stick.
We are going to renew our dedication to the forums by reinstating the forum free shipping codes this weekend.
What this means is that you can save up to 16% every day starting this weekend. Not just for 6 hours, or a day... Every day.

PBJ, do you have Sanwa JLF or Sanwa JLW joysticks....

Looking at your dustwashers on there now would suggest JLW, and the fact that the threads don't come through would tell me JLW with bat tops?

Now... I need to quote someone
"It's not them (me), it's you" :)
The JLW bat top has a bigger od than the JLF does, it's 1mm larger.  You did order JLF's but JLW's were not an option.

Just because you are usually so nice, and we love you :)
I'll send out another set cut for JLW bat tops...

I am teasing you, and thank you for letting me know, I'll add that clarification so this mistake doesn't happen again.

Thanks

You should see the translucent ones with Nephrings!!!!

The Lono 2 has been discontinued.  We are currently working on some other options for replacement.  Some of our own and some options of bringing other companies products to the store.

Resistance values for the LED are 325 from red, and 275 for green and blue.

Craftymech has been nice enough to let us carry the Mini SLG

Try "forums" or "FORUMS" -- minus the quotation marks, of course.

The coupon codes are case sensitive and I've told Bryan and Susan several times that the code they had posted ("Forums" IIRC) doesn't work.

(http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/2836-large_default/mini-slg.jpg) (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/video-converters-and-tools/1253-mini-slg.html)

Excited that Paradise now carries the mini SLG! Now you can get everything on your shopping list in the same place :)

Armi,  I was told you had an optical joystick in the works comparable to happ's perfect 360

Happ Perfect 360's suck now big time. they all have led/diode alignment issues and even the moldings that allow diodes to pass the IR light are terrible. crap all made in china and quality control unbelievable bad.  no one buys happ perfect 360 anymore n plus they charge over $80 a pop.

us gamers don't mind the price but to pay that and get garbage is insanity! us gamers are waiting for someone to revive the optical american joystick. the japanese sticks has their flash, rollie, spark version.  we just need a good quality one for american sticks!

I know your a engineering genuis, and it'd be awesome if paradise arcade had their own patented optical version

Thanks Armi!

Hi Bryan,
I placed an order last week on 1 July but haven't heard any updates.  Yesterday I shot an email to sales@paradisearcadeshop.com requesting status but haven't gotten a response yet.  Are you guys backed up?  I was really hoping to get my stuff by this weekend but that's starting to sound unlikely.
Thanks!

Don't worry.  He'll offer you free stuff to edit out this post soon, then have his weak excuse responses deleted.

Thanks for the order, we were invited by Mad Catz to join them at Evo 2014 and were traveling.  We had posted an update on our Facebook and twitter profiles on order status, all orders should be out by tomorrow, as well as being caught up on all emails.  PM me your name and order number and I'll double check on it.

We are upgrading to the new site shortly, but if you receive a paypal invoice, but no recorded order, email her so she knows to double check paypal.  Some transactions are not posting back to the store.

I haven't been able to get a response to any queries, which is frustrating. I sent an email to info@paradisearcadeshop.com on January 21, then sent the same email via the website on January 28. It's January 30 - no response to either email. Both were asking a couple of simple questions before ordering - primarily about the website not displaying options for different weight microswitches and different LED options (12V vs 5V) for buttons. So in addition to not getting any responses, it's clear that the website is a mess, too.

That doesn't inspire any confidence that when I place an order, that it'll be shipped right away. Or at all, even!

I think I shall order elsewhere. I don't get any warm fuzzies here. Sorry, Bryan, but you can't run a business like that and expect people to just push through in an effort to give you an order.  :banghead:

@darkfall not sure where the info@paradisearcadeshop.com email is going, but it's not one we use, so I apologize but the email is probably in our spam folder or the nether realm.

The lights come with 12 Volt lights currently as stated in the product description.   We have temporarily removed the 5volt option from the product page as we are revamping how the lights are packaged.  In regards to the microswitches, it does appear that the microswitch option was not turned on with the new site upgrade.  I will make sure that's addressed tonight

I know Susan is 1-2 days behind on emails, she's working on the emails from the 28th, my fault as I turn 40 today and she's been trying to make this a memorable birthday.  If you have any questions feel free to post here and I would be happy to answer.

Good questions for here:
1. Will those silencer rings work with the buttons I have selected?
The silencer rings are for the Sanwa and Seimitsu buttons, they will not work with the IL or Paradise LED buttons.

2. These buttons have 12V LEDs. I have done some research and it appears that they'll light up at 5V at around 5 mA (according to a post from you guys on Arcade Controls' forum back in 2011, thus I should be ok driving 8 LEDs off of a USB port's power, by the sound of it. There was mention of 5V LED options, but I didn't see such an option on the site anywhere, nor do I know if the 5V LEDs would pose a greater amperage draw than the 12V LEDs driven at 5V. Advice?
The 5 volt option is not currently available on the site because we are working on bundling these in better packaging, that will possibly be only for 12 V.  The 5Volt leds are a super bright led, that draws around 30ma, so so 8 leds would be at 240ma, which may be fine  if that's all your driving.  if needed we can ammend your order, but these leds are about .75 more for each button.

3. Do these buttons come with the 20g switches? There was said to be an option, but I didn't see a drop down for one anywhere. I'd like to keep everything as quiet as possible, so I'm not making everyone in the house crazy while I bash away on the buttons in the living room *grin*. The plan is to order additional 20g switches for the joysticks (Ultimarc Mag-Stik Plus - I really want the 4/8 way switching from the top of the panel).
Yes, this option for some reason was turned off on the website after the upgrade, I will make sure it goes back on today, thank you for letting us know.

Sorry, it was the sales@paradisearcadeshop.com I had used (just checked my sent folder to confirm).

While the response via email never happened, you definitely responded quickly here, which I can live with.

2. These buttons have 12V LEDs. I have done some research and it appears that they'll light up at 5V at around 5 mA (according to a post from you guys on Arcade Controls' forum back in 2011, thus I should be ok driving 8 LEDs off of a USB port's power, by the sound of it. So I may be better off with the 12V LEDs and power them at 5V and get the lower current draw, then. That works.

3. Do these buttons come with the 20g switches? There was said to be an option, but I didn't see a drop down for one anywhere. I'd like to keep everything as quiet as possible, so I'm not making everyone in the house crazy while I bash away on the buttons in the living room *grin*. Order placed.  :)

Order received about 3 days later. Nice a quick! I also got a little baggie of Hawaii's version of a Hershey's Kiss, with macadamia nut bits in them - yummy. Thank you!

For those of you interested, I measured the current draw of the various button LED colors, and thought others might be interested. I've thrown in the draw of the Ultimarc MiniPac, as well, since I'll be using those in my project and it was easy to grab a reading. These are 12V LEDs, driven at 5V (they're plenty bright at 5V, if my opinion):

Red: 7.18mA
Blue: 4.97mA
Green: 5.42mA
Yellow: 4.79mA
Ultimarc MiniPac: 19.28mA

In my project, I plan to drive the LEDs off of the USB ports 5V supply, since I'm building stand-alone sticks for use in the living room on the TV (like a console, but with arcade controls, instead of a gamepad), and don't want to run separate power leads to each stick for the LEDs. Since I'll have 8 buttons (1 red, 2 blue, 2 green, 2 yellow, and 1 white) plus one MiniPac per stick, that amounts to a 61.61mA draw. That's well below USB's 500mA supply (not all USB ports put out 500mA, though - it is lower on some devices, such as some laptops - check your device's specifications! I'll be using a Raspberry Pi B+, which can deliver up to 600mA, and can be told to deliver up to 1.2mA via software, so no worries for me). Even still, pretty much anything will deliver 62mA for me with no effort at all, so it should be all good.

Placed my first order with Paradise Arcade Shop just now.  Switching over from HAPP sticks and buttons to Sanwa and Siemitsu on some custom builds.  Looking forward to receiving product!

Couple quick things that you (Paradise Arcade) may not be aware of.  I did email you a couple weeks ago asking questions about Japanese style sticks and buttons and never received a reply.  I'm thinking these emails may be getting lost as I've read this has happened in the past and it would be a shame if you were missing customer questions for some reason with emails getting lost or misdirected.  Secondly, FedEx EXPRESS shipping was showing up for FREE at checkout to Chicagoland area for me just now.  I'm thinking that may be an error as well since I use FedEx regularly and EXPRESS is normally overnight and quite expensive compared to Ground or Home delivery.  I selected USPS Priority.

I have run a small business for years and just wanted to say thanks for offering this product to us.  You guys do a great job and I will happily refer you to friends and clients after my order is received!  Thanks again.

I have placed two orders with PA in the last month or so.

First order shipped on the day after I ordered. :applaud:
* Asked a product question in the order comments, but they were (apparently) ignored.  ???
* Had they noticed and answered, it would likely have resulted in a bigger order.
* One of the products received (wires) was wrong.  Sent email: no reply.  Sent another email: no reply.
* Gave up and placed another order with the correct product and some additional things I needed.

Second order has been less than pleasant.  :banghead:
* Placed order on 2/23, paid with Paypal.
* PA website did not record the sale, but paypal took my money.
* Based on my experience with email, I picked up the phone./
* Susan was very nice, and I explained what happened with Paypal. She told me she would take care of it, and thanks for letting her know. I also mentioned the wrong product in the previous order and I hadn't received an email response. She apologized.
* After the call I was concerned that at no time during the call did she ask for my name, email, order number, etc. So I contacted them through the PA website as a follow-up to the call - detailed what we talked about and requested a refund for $7.50 (refund was never offered on the phone).
* Received a paypal notification for a $7.50 refund the next day. No message was included.

It has now been 12 days since I placed the second order and called.
Since that time I have placed online orders with holland and groovy, both which have already been delivered.

As it stands I still do not have a tracking number, and the order has not been added to my account on the PA website.

Based on my experience, PA cannot be bothered to answer emails - even for paying customers.

I hate to do it, but if I do not hear something or receive my order soon, my only recourse is a charge back.

This is ridiculous.

Progress update (or lack thereof):

* Received email on 3/12 asking if the wires arrived yet.
* I Responded within 10 minutes stating neither the wires or the other products ordered have been received.
* No reply received as of writing this post.

Since I yet to receive a response to a single email I'm asking my questions here.

Have all of the products from the 2/23 order been shipped?
Do you have a tracking number?

Susan was trying to figure out what had happened to respond to your email of Thursday.  We originallly wrote because were auditing shipments we have marked as shipped that didn't convert to delivered to make sure they had arrived, I will have Susan confirm this today.

I've dealt with PA numerous times and have had no issues.

The best way to get prompt service is to use the phone, which they have posted as a form of contact.

The 2nd best is a direct email.

The good thing about Susan is she is easily accessible if you call during the suggested hours via the site, she will work with you and get you taken care of.  You have to look at their business as less automated and more personal.

So pick up the phone and leave a VM, or just keep calling she will answer.  I too have had to follow up but in the end it ended up being a pleasant experience.

:-\  Not a huge fan of Paradise Arcade Shop.  My first-order went smoothly, but the product was not a very good quality.  I ordered a set of clear pushbuttons but they came in yellowed.  Before I placed another order, I sent three different emails asking a question. Finally, the last email got an answer. I should've known this was not a good sign. The second transaction was really bad. The order took about three weeks to arrive, then when it came in it was missing certain items and had extra items that I didn't order.  Between unanswered emails and whatnot, it took about four more weeks to get what I actually ordered. Probably not going to go back to them again.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, and that you felt the need to register here and use your first post to contribute your feedback.  From the half dozen times I've dealt with Paradise, I've had absolutely no troubles and has been a pleasure doing business with.

Mike, Sorry you had a bad experience.  I'm assuming the Yellowed buttons are the IL buttons.   This is the actual color IL has been producing for years.  Susan had them produce a more pure clear with the recent convex buttons shown here on the left, the classic on the right.
Because IL has been producing the color on the right for years we are not just converting over, but will be offering both in the store.

I am sure Susan would swap out the new for the old and I am sorry about the second experience.

Opt2not, thanks for the props

I will answer the pm Yotsuya sent puplicly.  We did announce a new project over at KLOV and will be looking forward to bringing that out here.  We are working on a two in 1 Jamma switcher with a twist.  It has an on board ARM processor so that you can actually switch between two jamma boards or a computer running Mame or a menu for the two Jamma boards.  We are really very excited about this, look for a kickstarter in April.  We have the interface boards done and are working on the switching board.  I think people will be very excited when they see what this can do.  We haven't even announced a quarter of it's full capabilities and future plans....

I had tried to place an order via your website, but on the payment selection screen am receiving the message, "No payment module installed" and am unable to complete the order. I do have an existing site account and was signed in during checkout.

May I PM my order list to you?

Thanks, Jeremy

Thanks Bryan for posting up the new balltops here and helping promote some of the last custom things I was able to finish before I deployed.

I am extremely happy working with Bryan and Susan on this, best arcade family members I could hope for!

The Dash Cancel Sale is now up and going. Its hard having to sit on the sidelines while they are for sale! Bryan mentioned that the response to the balltops has been very positive so far and they are most likely going to sell out this weekend. Looks like Ill have to work some pre-arranged logistics to get a second new unique batch done.

Curious of the price? Check out this short video for details:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6jxjUuf0Hs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6jxjUuf0Hs)

Or just read... $14.95 each. Remember each Military themed balltop (DevilDog, Desert Storm,  Deep Six) purchased will result in a $5 donation to Wounded Warrior Project! Get a cool bit of Fight Stick Lingere, and help one of our countries heroes at the same time :)

Thanks for letting us know and enjoy!

Is the "forums" code still valid? I placed an order recently and it did not work for me.

My apologies for the errors and the latest delay on your order of the 28th. I replied to your email earlier today. Your order is ready to go and will be out in the mail in the morning. Your latest order was very time consuming and i've been on my own the last two weeks, and my son was also home very ill as well. I've been juggling way too many things the last few weeks! I have additional help arriving tomorrow, things will be much smoother.

We are here, we opened, didn't announce it very publicly, and got slammed.  Most orders have shipped, the remaining go Monday.

Our intention was to slowly let things get back to normal but instead it was like opening a flood gate....

If you don't get tracking today, it will be there Sunday for Monday shipment.   I'm forcing Susan to take her 50th off tomorrow, actually she's arguing with me and wants to work, but I think I'm going to win this one.

My apologies, hang in there. Big announcements coming soon....

OK, I have a complaint

First, you have not responded to 2 E-mails about being charged twice when I placed my order.

2nd. I received a package today and the only contents inside were 1 joystick and 1 red daisy chain (says it's supposed to be .250, does not look correct, looks more like .187 daisy chain). I did not spend over $100.. no make that over $200 for 1 joystick, and 1 set of wires. What gives, & Why do you not respond?

Got my stuff today (finally). I tested out the 5v LED's on a spare power supply... I like that they are AC/DC. I won't need to bother trying to figure out which is positive or which is negative when I daisy chain them. They light up using either polarity on either end. NICE.. Wish my son's LED buttons would have been that simple when I did his cabinet. Would have made the job much easier. Totally makes up for the out of stock black daisy chain I ordered (I was sent all red instead, wanted 1 set of red and 1 set of black for polarity checking). All I gotta do, is daisy chain whichever ends I feel like and I'm good to go. THANK YOU!!

Just wanted to say I had a great experience recently with Paradise. Ordered several buttons and two joysticks for my X-Arcade Tankstick. Did have one minor issue: Some of the microswitches I received were not the ones I ordered. Their customer service was great, and they promptly shipped me the switches I needed. Great customer service.

Tried to reach you by email, no luck...even received an automatic email from youyr website telling me my shopping cart is reserved, can you help me out? Now because of just that it says there are no longer in stock, but you still haven't answer my question for customizing the kit as description says. I'll copy email again in here:

Hello, I would like to ask if it is possible to customize in detail between how many concave and convex and microswitches I want in my kit for "Howler - 4 Player Lite Kit" (SKU : Howler 4PL)

1) I understand not all microswitches cost the same, if possible pls tell me what would be the price for the "Howler 4PL" kit with this customization:

a) 16 x Convex RGB buttons of which:
4 x 20 Gram (Zippy) Ultra Light Touch Microswitch (Model VM-05B-00D0-Z)
8 x 50 Gram (Zippy) Light Touch Microswitch (Model VM-05L-00D0-Z)
4 x 75 Gram (Zippy) Heavy Touch Microswitch (Model VM-05F-00D0-Z)

b) 10 x Concave RGB buttons of which:
8 x 75 Gram (Zippy) Heavy Touch Microswitch (Model VM-05F-00D0-Z)
2 x Rollie Leaf Switch for Pushbutton (Model 36)

I noticed you offer 125 Gram Microswitches as an option on the RGB buttons. Is there a typo in the description of "75 Gram (Zippy) Heavy Touch Microswitch (Model VM-05F-00D0-Z)"? If they are really 125 Grams i would like to change them for:

a) "CONVEX" 4 x 75 Gram (Cherry) Cherry Pushbutton Microswitch (Model D44X)

b) "CONCAVE" 8 x 75 Gram (Cherry) Cherry Pushbutton Microswitch (Model D44X)

2) About the RGB's:
What are the options for RGB LED's? Can you point me to some that does NOT require resistors with the Howler interface?

3) Do you have any spinner with optional wheel?

I want to add more items to my purchase but want to clarify if can make this customization before.

Thanks, really waiting your answer to make my order.
