Post by: krick on January 04, 2018, 05:43:46 pm
I upgraded the hardware in my arcade cabinet and I'm selling the parts along with some of my older video cards and parts from past upgrades.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Asking price summary (more info below)...

MB+CPU+MEM: $50
ATX power supply w/ relay controlled AC outlet: $25
ArcadeVGA3000 PCI Express video card: $50
ArcadeVGA AGP video: $30
Sapphire Radeon HD 4550 PCI Express video card. Asking: $25
ASUS Radeon X600XT PCI Express video card: $25
Sapphire Radeon 9200 SE PCI (NOT PCI Express): $10
Intel Core2Duo Processor E7300: $10
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.40 GHz: $5

Shipping costs are paid by the buyer.  I usually ship things USPS first class or Priority but I am flexible.  Let me know what you want to do.

First is the MB+CPU+MEM - asking $50 for all three as a unit

Motherboard: ASUS P5KPL-CM microATX Intel LGA775
CPU: Intel Pentium Processor E5200 2M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB Dual-core Wolfdale SLB9T -  overclocked to 3.5 GHz
Memory: OCZ Fatal1ty Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2F10664GK

The motherboard has very limited overclocking options, but once you know how it works, it's not a problem and it works like a charm.  The trick is to use higher speed memory and lower the CPU to memory ratio so that when the CPU front side bus is increased, the memory stays in spec.

This CPU was overclocked by simply changing the following two BIOS settings.  No voltage increase was necessary.

CPU FREQUENCY: 280
DRAM FREQUENCY: 667MHZ  (this option is actually the 3:5 ratio setting - if you don't change this, the memory will be way overclocked and it won't work)

Results...
CPU multiplier: 12.5 (this is fixed and cannot be changed)
FSB: 280
Effective CPU speed: 3.5GHz
FSB to Memory divider: 3:5
Effective memory speed: 467 MHz (DDR2 933 MHz)

I also customized the BIOS on this motherboard for my arcade cabinet.  I replaced the default ASUS splash screen with a plain black image.  I also edited the BIOS to remove the on-screen text that tells you how to enter the bios by hitting "DEL" or whatever it said.  I'll ship the board with the splash screen disabled and you can enable it after you set everything up.

I can include a stock Intel CPU cooler if you want it.  Just let me know.  Since the voltage wasn't increased for this overclock, it shouldn't get too much hotter than a stock CPU.  I personally always use an aftermarket cooler when overclocking just to be safe.

I'll include the manual, the original driver disk, and the I/O shield.  I might throw in some SATA cables and maybe an IDE cable if I can find them.

I have something kind of unique.  A Vantec ION ATX power supply that has a relay controlled AC power outlet on the back.  I used it in my cabinet so that my arcade monitor and marquee would turn on and off with the PC.

The power supply is only 400 watts and it's kind of old so I'm only asking $25.

I'll throw in some SATA power adapter cables since the power supply pre-dates SATA drives.
