Not sure if you guys have seen these yet or not but I have just contributed to this kick starter (my first ever) after a friend getting one of their grey offerings.

I figured they are only slightly more expensive than 2 refurbed pads and look a load better!
Thought some may be interested :)

if only they made the 6 buttons "line up" better. 2 buttons being slightly off tilt from the "C buttons" is both aesthetically and functionally displeasing.
-
They seem to function fine tbh.
Bit like 6 button md controllers just a steeper angle.
-
The angle of the buttons dont bother me, the placement does. There is no reason to not line them up. Their sales pitch seems to be "modern take on the design" but they didn't bother with the biggest flaw in the controller. Losing the triceratops grip and double up the Z button were great ideas, and they even made the C buttons bigger, but moving AB a few millimeters was too difficult I guess.
-
I know what you mean.
I think the reason is the angle of the handles is pretty steep hence the steep curve of the buttons.
I think i would of gone with a shallower design personally more like a Xbox controller.
That being said the guy who made me aware of these is a games enthusiast and he really likes them.
He also has mobility issues with his left hand and said he cant use a standard 64 controller at all due to those issues.
But he seems to really rate these.
From my pov the biggest plus for them is a modern analogue stick coz lets be fair the 64 sticks were shite!

I suspect it makes no difference in gameplay, and they were trying to retain some of the *a e s t h e t i c*
I get it.

USB Masterace! :burgerking:
The best is to be able to link a good Pad (N64 isn't, it's a fact deal with it) on a Nintendo 64. :afro:

A guy connected his GameCube Pad (not the best Pad but far better than N64 Pad) on his Nintendo 64 :notworthy:

Never liked the game cube pad :p
I used to get on fine with the 64 pad tbh but I have quite small hands.
Though I understand why people with bigger hands hate them :p
The stick design on them however is utter junk!
Ive self repaired all of mine over the years, Wish someone would make a printable STL for the bowl and stick!

Every game on N64 that I would want to play again has since be re-released or ported to a different system without the ridiculous controller, thankfully.
