Title: New Additions
Post by: CheffoJeffo on January 21, 2006, 05:16:00 pm
Yet another Starburst auction weekend passes and once again I didn't buy anything at the auction.

As always, the best deals to be had were in the parking lot with the CGCC CoinOp folks.

I finally gave in and picked up my first pin -- Stern Flight 2000. The price was right and my wife finally revealed her secret desire to have a pin in the house.

Should be a good first pin for me. CPR is doing repro plastics now and will be doing playfields (and this needs it) later this year (or in 2007).

Also picked up a Pac Man project w/monitor (no boards or PS) for C$75. Another hulking beast to sit in the corner awaiting attention.

It was good to see Scott84 and to meet eccs19.

Cheers.

Sweet pin... nice job.

Tks ... I felt a little inadequate loading it up beside the guy loading his mint Twilight Zone, but once I got it home and running felt much better. Never played pins much (I'm even worse on pins that I am with vids), but this is pretty fun and the balllwalker is cool.

Now if I could just get the kids away from it from a couple of hours ...

Cheers.

It's all relative... I'm guessing you paid a few hundred, and that guy paid upwards of $2500-3000.

Good Luck with the PAC !

There's something about having a PAC-MAN that rocks!

Just got through with mine a couple of months ago.

I swear i will never do another one again.

Damn yellow paint !  >:(

I sanded around all the artwork,

Repainted the yellow, Then touched up the artwork.

Turned out real nice!

I have all the paint codes if you need them?

You might just have to go with Repo art with that one though.

Since so much is missing.

Great pick up though!

Here's mine below!

Not me in the picture, Brother in Law.

My identity must remain a secret.  ;)

Actually, the grey is cheap latex paint OVER the original artwork ... I expect that it'll come off like a dream (which I didn't expect when I made the deal originally ... just got lucky).

Tks for the inspiration pic -- looks grat.

Cheers.

O yeah !

Your artwork should be well perserved underneath!

Mine had this wood grain covering all over it.

Then had a JR. PAC-MAN sticker on it too!

My artwork was pretty well perserved, But still needed some touch up work.

I actually chipped off pieces of the Yellow, Blue and Orange.

And had them color matched at LOWES.
