I just got the monitor, hooked it up to my pc via vga, and plugged in power cord.. fired up my pc it kept flickering on and off rapidly won't display a picture at all this is brand new :angry:
Using for MAME

sounds like you are sending too high a frequency signal and the nieman monitor cannot handle it
not a real pc person but i think it should be set to 640x480 but someone else here will know better

Yes, set your desktop to 640x480 as that's the monitor's max.

YEP it was a resolution issue in windows, i called rick and he walked me through it excellent picture by the way as well as excellent customer service

Well, it helps to know the range of the monitor and what signal you're feeding it.

I always wonder why people first start shouting out their complaints about a product on a public forum, trying to give a brand/company a bad name, and only THEN they contact the seller/company.
And then to discover they screw up themselves.....you owe Rick an apology.

i think he was frustrated not shouting with anger
difficult for beginners to grapple with monitors which is why its always nice to take some time to help ;)
