About a year ago, I made a simple all in one control panel with X-Arcade components and a cheap PC for my office. Recently I got a new job at a startup and decided to bring the "arcade" with me.
I have decided to redo almost all of it, turn it into a full pedestal and all new components. My plan was to keep the all-in-one control panel so when we want, we can take it to a conf room and hook it up to the big screen/projector/whatever.
So...
Build a cool base (coin door/LED lights)
Build a cool new CP with better innards and brooks all in one fighting boards (Xbox/PC and PS4 compatible)
Use the company colors and logo themes
At this point I'm nearly done, but will be posting progress shots. I'll also come back and edit this post with a final image.

Started with 3/4" MDF for the control panel. 72" curve on the front.

The control panel is designed to be removable... take it to a conference room and plug it up to the projector for fun.
I created a box for the base 21"x 36". 4" deep in the front and 6" deep in the back. The front is slanted (covered with vinyl) and the sides extend 1" lower that the base to ensure ventilation when it is removed.
Added a 5" fan and two holes for running wires up and ventilation.

I don;t have any pics of creating the base. But it was two sides with an inverse curve. I then mounted a rectangular MDF board with a cutout for a coin door and another one (at an angle) with slots cut out for LED lights.

I attached the control panel and began wiring.
I wanted an Xbox and a raspberry pi, so I used 2 Brook universal fighting boards and ran them through a powered USB hub and a usb switch (so I could switch between the two systems easily).
I added two neutrix ports on the back for controllers and then mounted the TV using two lengths of 1" square aluminum tubing and a vesa mount I had.

Oh, one more thing... I routed out a hole in the middle of the control panel and mounted a blue, battery powered, sound activated plasma disc...

The peeps in the office love it and I am proud of how well it turned out. One day we will wall mount a larger tv behind it, but this s good enough for now.

Splash the cash and get a bigger TV. Looks nice otherwise.

I like it. The graphics are simple and clean. Definitely fork over the cash for a bigger TV.

Make the mount for the tv rotate for some shmup action.

I know people are screaming for a larger screen but nowhere does it say what size screen it was to start with.

40" tops. Lurk moar.

The screen size looks like it could be bigger, but it really depends on how far away you are from the screen and how much panning, tilting and zooming you want to do with your head. If that pedestal is butted up to the TV, the television might be too big for me. I still enjoy a 19" - 22" monitor for gaming when viewing from I'm within a couple feet.
