Title: I'm getting a 403 Forbidden on Mr. Do's MAME ARTWORK site I only need a few HELP

I'm getting a 403 Forbidden on Mr. Do's MAME ARTWORK site I only need a few HELP.

Everything I look at on the site trying to download minimum files, most of which are older versions of MAME I wanted to test out pre .106 as well as the updated files, however it seems they are ALL down i'm getting a 403 error etc... Any one else have this issue on James site ? I don't want to download a HUGE PACK or anything I just need it for 6 games or so.

Looks like when they updated the MAMEWorld site recently, a browser-related configuration error occurred.

Firefox gets a 403 error, but IE doesn't.   :dunno

Tried using IE as you suggested, still had the same ERROR. With that being said I need the following, I just need games that use BACKDROPS / BACKGROUNDS:

I just want BACKDROP/OVERLAYS no bezels.

Again these must be used on PRE .106 it's about 40 files or so. Can someone upload them in one .zip if you have access and post it to sendspace or an equivalent host ?>

PM sent.

The files on the old art page are a bit different from the other page.
(Filenames ending in "_zip" instead of ".zip" cause a 403 error in both Firefox and IE.)

Try this in IE: (works for me)
- Right click on the desired file
- "Save target as"
- Rename the file so it ends in ".zip"  i.e. "maze_zip" to "maze.zip"
- When you get a "couldn't be  downloaded" error, click on "retry" ==> file downloads.
- Enjoy your freshly downloaded . . . pancakes.   :dizzy:   :lol
