Title: Hyperspin exiting favorites list
Post by: MAME TIME on March 17, 2016, 11:39:03 am
I wondering if there's a simple solution and im sure there is. im using an ipac with the standard 6 button fighter setup. I configured P button to exit mame and P is also configured to exit hyperspin. my question is when the system boots into hyperspin I press Z to view favorites list, but if I want to go back into the (main list) what's the button combination? if I press P it just exits the frontend and not the fav list. suggestions

It almost sounds as though it's sending a double keypress for P.  There's only one exit button, and P in your case is it.  When you press it, you should go back to your main list, then press it again to exit Hyperspin.

yeah it doesn't matter what button I use to config for the exit, same deal. am I missing something?

I don't think so.  I have noticed that when I press my ESC key, which is a wired microswitch button through an IPAC2 keyboard encoder, sometimes it sends twice, only when I am trying to exit Hyperspin, and never when I'm in a wheel.

You could try pressing your P button while clicked into a notepad document.  Try it a few times and see if it is actually sending double.  The other thing you could try is doing a button combination for exit.  That would be much harder to trigger twice in a row.
