1stly - Apologies if this is in the wrong part of the forums

I have the same problem my cab has two pc's in it mainly because my 11month old kept messsing with the pc's. The idea I will do as soon as I get my hole saw from my folks place is making a direct cooling duct for the cpu. This pic should help just think of the case in the pic as your cab.

Might want to see about putting vent holes as close to the bottom of the cab as possible and have the top vent hole drawing air out. Also those shuttles run hot. Or quick and dirty test raise the comp to the same level as that fan and try to line up the comps exhaust to the cab exhaust fan and see if that helps.

quick question for you edgedamage - the mylar ducting, do they make this in a 120mm ?
as for the grills/vents, there are 3 at the bottom of the cab (as pictured) and in the top compartment there is another grill/vent behind where the monitor would sit

Try HVAC supply shops or homedepot.

When you put the shuttle together, did you peel off the protective plastic film that covers the top of the copper shim? (the shim is the metal plate that fits between the CPU and the heatpipe unit) - this is a *very* common mistake on shuttle builds - many people don't even realise that there is a protective film on the shim. The CPU heat exchange is compromised if the plastic isn't removed.
Also, in addition to the side vents, shuttles take in air through holes in the BOTTOM of the case - might be worth trying to extend the feet, to make sure there's plenty of space for air to circulate underneath the box.
To be honest, I don't think an xpc is a great candidate for putting inside an arcade cab. Shuttle push the limits with respect to heat exchange and air circulation, in order to make tiny systems that run quietly. They're great for a desktop system (I use one myself), but I wouldn't like to run one in an enclosed space.
Personally, I think using uncased PC components is the way to go with arcade cabs... I guess I just don't see the logic in encasing your PC components in a small box of hot air within a bigger box of slightly-less-hot air; you're just compounding your cooling problems by doing that.
