Title: What to do with a Make Trax?
Post by: zzaz3 on June 20, 2009, 05:58:19 pm
So, I just got a Make Trax in my house and don't know what to do with it.  I was hoping to turn it into a MAME cabinet, but everyone on the forums don't seem to like the idea of destroying a working cabinet.

I'd be happy if this were a Pac-man cabinet of some kind, but I'm not really a fan of Make Trax.  What should I do with this thing?  Resell it?

From a quick Google search it appears that Make Trax can use the 96in1 Multipac:

I would guess that the other multipacs would work on Make Trax as well?

If so, this would get you a whole lot of Pac and still have Make Trax/Crush Roller.

Post a pic. Sometimes even original machines are so thrashed they arent worth keeping original.  But yeah, MAMEing an original that works is usually not a great idea. (you can sell it and get an empty generic cabinet and still have cash left over for parts).

Hmm...  96in1 Multipac.  I can't seem to find it on the site.  All I can find is a 48in1, 60in1, 19in1, and 24in1 Multipac.  How much does the 96in1 cost and where can I find it?

Here's a few pics.  I'd like to think it's in pretty good condition.  I've been trying to sell in on the forums and craigslist.  I guess no one's interested.  I'm not even sure how much it's worth.

Wow, that looks nice!  If it works right, it would be a shame to MAME it.  Someone (maybe it was you) was asking about MAMEing a Make Trax last week, but it sounded like that was a gutted unit that wasn't in that great condition.  BUT, if you don't want it and noone will buy it from you, then I guess it's your call.
