I've heard some mixed reviews from people about the picture quality of PS2 outputted to an arcade monitor via the Ultimarc PSX AV to J-PAC/Speaker Adaptor. I'm looking for a clean way to output in a JAMMA cab. What other options are there or is the stuff I've heard about the picture quality a bunch of crap?

I have an Ultimarc PSX and Xbox adaptor (not jamma) and it is a nice picture, actually I love it. It is on a 19in Happs Pro and does te trick. DVD's look super to me also!

I think the picture quality is fine. I use it with my new astrocity. Make sure you set your ps2 to rgb mode in the ps2 setup screen. However, I'd stay far away from the Ultimarc controller adaptor. It does not work very well and many games are unplayable.
The alternative is to make your own cable:

Where are the bad reviews of the ultimarc ps2 video adaptor?

I have a PS2 hooked up to my Astro City. Looks good.

Did you use the ultimarc cable?

Yeah, it looks pretty clean.

There have been two versions of our control adaptor. The original one did not work with a couple of games, now should work with all. If you can drop me an email we can upgrade it.
