Hello,
I am looking into building or buying a mamebox type item..what I mean is a sleek/compact box that has all the workings of a pc....kinda a laptop i guess.....in a box..like a mini cabinet..that can hook directly into a tv.......then i can have USB or wiressless arcade stick, or console controls..ie) nes pad etc......I would want to play mame, consoles, and even some pc games..
Just wondering if there is a unit for sale like this? I have been pricing mini itx systems but they tend to be pricey....hmm......not sure..any suggestions?

the arcade in the box looks pretty cool..thats similar to what i would want..however..i do not lilike 2 things about it.. 1. price..its too high....and 2..the artwork.. just wondering is there others out there? also would be nice to have 4 usb plugs instead of the 2..... now with these can they be wiped clean and i could play all mame etc on? like my old cab? Maybe there is someone on here who could make it? i mean i could but i am not sure i want to.

Why not use a modded Xbox?
A modded Xbox can be used for Mame and various other emulators and would be alot cheaper than buying a laptop strictly for Mame use. It would be alot simpler to use with a TV as well.
(I have a modded Xbox for sale btw ;) )

you know what I had a modded xbox and sold it...it didnt play all the mame games at full speed or close to full speed, It didnt have the easy to use interface like mamewah etc.... that I like about using a computer. also with a computer It can be expanded/upgraded, i can play some of my favorite pc games as well.... you know..... but thanks for the reply.. just wondering whats the modded xbox going for and whats included?
