I just saw this in the 144 u7 release notes and was wondering if it would help make emulation of mame games more accurate from a refresh perspective?

Nice spot, what does it all mean!
Will this play nice with crt emu driver without a groovymame build?

I think this is related to emulation of systems that integrated VGA and CGA hardware, so it will just improve accuracy for those specific systems. It's interesting nevertheless.
