Hello,
I'm new to arcade emu controls
I'm trying the Model 2 emulation, and I've got a X-arcade dual controller.
The original Virtual On cabinet got a 2 joystick controller to move the cyborgs, with controller combinations like JoyL to the Left & JoyR to the Right make the cyborg jumps, etc..
With the poor controls config of M2, i'm unable to config such controls..
Is there any patches to correct this?
Thanks :)

I haven't tried Virtual ON on the emulator. Any patch would probably fall under the stuff going on in the other thread regarding the shooter fix. It's more of an extension of what Howard is doing on with his Troubleshooter app.

Could you explain the issue because to be honest I'm not understanding.
I looked at the control config for virtual on and all of the keys are remappable. I'm just not familiar enough with the game. This might be a hardware issue actually. I hate to rag on companies that help the hobby, but x-arcade isn't exactly known for it's robust interfaces. I mean they don't even have shift keys!

*update*
I see what you mean... that is definately odd.
It might be possible to fix and it might not, depends upon if the issue is with emulation or model 2 itself. I'll look into it, but honestly it's a low priority as I'd have to bloat the code even more to add a fix.

I have v.9 on my setup that still uses an x-arcade and I remember being able to jump. The right stick is mapped to player 2's stick.
I tried to use two separate analog joysticks with v1.0 and things were screwey.
When mapping the right stick I'd push up, but m2 would apply the label "left" to the mapping and when in game it would not accept input from both stick simultaneously. You could push up on one stick or the other, but if you pushed both it would default to the left.
I assumed it was an issue with the analog controls, but maybe things were screwed up in v1.0
I'll test on the old x-arcade this evening and make sure I'm remembering right.
You aren't using an Xbox adapter with the x-arcade are you?

This appears to be a virtual on only problem... the issue is m2 is not accepting simultanious keypresses for this game.
If you go into the debug menu and try to press and two buttons at the same time, even with a joystick (I did that to rule out ghosting issues), it ony shows the last key you pressed.
I dunno what would cause this other than a coding error. Again, I don't have a clue why there would be input code exclusive to that game in the emulator, but I guess there is.

The odd thing is, in previous versions of M2 emu,
The key was working..well J1left & J2Right made the cyborg jumps, but J& Left & J2left were supposed to make the cyborg sidesteps but it wasn't working.
With the last version of the emu, even the jump move isn't responsive anymore..

no, i'm using it with the usb port of the x-arcade

So yes, in the input hardware setting of the game, the controls test doesn't accept to simultaneous press of the 2 joysticks..
I guess, that I have to forget the idea to play to virtual On..
:(

Umm... I said I would take a look at it.
You should really check out the model2 thread. I've already addressed this issue and when I release the troubleshooter it will fix it.
