Title: does mame emulate MVS 4 slot?

Is there a way to emulate MVS 4 slot in MAME? So that I could for instance load 4 games and let the MVS run these 4 games at once, using the "select" button to go from one to another.

Yes, up to 6.  Command: "mame64 neogeo -cart1 miexchng -cart2 wakuwak7 -cart3 etc..."

I use a bat file.  It's a great attract mode to leave a cabinet in.

I did a quick search this morning, falling in the same footsteps. Except that the emulation starts in settings mode.
I tried several bios without success. Any advice ?

PS : you can also specify these command line inside neogeo.ini file in ini folder.
cart1 mslug1
cart2 mslug2   etc...

I tried it and seems to work fine.
Only a last question: how do I switch from one game to another?
I have they keys for "next game" and "previous game" set, but it just doesn't seem to do anything?

@funkykochise do you have the service dipswitch ON in the mame settings?

I will try again, no dipswitch modified.

I believe you just need to credit before game change.

edit: I did a quick test, with different mame version, removing cfg and nvram : still stuck in settings. Anyway, I'm not after multislot. It doesn't really matter. It's much more for educational knowledge :)

Just hit the tab key and look through the controls. Mvs board has support for next and previous game, but harness sold only utilized one of them.

I'm currently finishing a really cool multi slot style attractmode layout. It would be neat to be able to select 4 slots from the front end and launch them together in mame, but haven't quite figured that out.
