Oh man, I thought this was going to be a remaster of the first three games, not just a re-release of Wipeout HD Fury. I guess it's pretty cool they're including Wipeout 2048 in there though.

Yeah, I liked 2048 a lot actually. Its funny I think the people in the crowd thought it was an entirely new game.

I'm not keen on a reworking of 2097/XL in any way. I personally don't believe they'll ever get the physics right again :)

Sorry for the necro-bump here, but I thought this may be of interest to anyone who's a bit on the fence about getting this game; A video from DigitalFoundry looking at the comparisons between the new and old games in detail. Although I've played WipEout HD Fury to death in the past, I've never played 2048 and, man oh man, those tracks sure have been given an impressive HD/60 fps makeover here. I'm seriously tempted to pick up a PS4 for this game now.

They were already impressive on the Vita, 2048 is an awesome game. I highly recommend picking up the collection just for 2048 if not for everything else... I sometimes wish wipeout was more conducive to playing with a steering wheel, but it just wasn't built that way, but still an awesome series.

Finally got to play this at the weekend on my mate's PS4. Sweet Jesus, it's a thing of beauty. I've never played any of the WipEout 2048 tracks before - they look absolutely superb here and all the while running at a silky smooth 60fps. The soundtrack is absolutely bangin' as well. I think this game is going to finally convince me to get down off the fence and embrace this current generation of consoles.
