I couldn't take the Voron hype anymore and ordered a refurbed SV08.  May God have mercy on my soul.

Try a solid desk or table or something to see if it improves.

i didn't try the FFB plugin mentioned here as i had no clue how a teknoparrot FFB plugin would allow me to use sequential shifting in a model 2 emulator, but maybe i'm screwing something up in that regard or missing something obvious.

BoomslangNZ's FFB plugin may have started for Teknoparrot, but it does several emulators now. MAME, flycast, and, wait for iiiiiittt... M2emu. It also circumvents some quirks in the emulator, and allows you to bind all your keys/buttons/axes without needing to open the M2 emulator itself. So yes, it is definitely worth looking at first if you are having probs. Or possibly even if you aren't.

Another thing to try is opening all programs at the admin level, emulator, J2key, AHK, RTSS, etc. Sometimes Joy-to-key won't pass keys along unless it has higher permissions. And the emulator probably wants to be on the same level to see them, etc.

When I move the joystick to a wheel, within a second or 2 a screen shows that has nothing to do with the wheel.  Is there a setting to leave the wheel displayed until a scroll down to another?  I don't even have time to look at anything else before it switching back to a screen.. It goes back to the wheel display once I move the joystick but then immediately goes back.. ugh..

installed SetServoStik standalone and all it seems to do is move the stiks to 8way
Can't workout how to get it back to 4 way...

The "win11 issue" note was added in the wiki after a feedback from someone in github tickets.
It was about Shattered Spear, so it's a great news to hear that it's working if you tried it with Win11

I'm still sticking to Win 10 (and will be as long as I can) to play/develop so I never tested heavy fire afghanistan with win11 personally....

I understand I may be out of luck with Win 11 and Heavy Fire Afghanistan, but just in case there is something obvious in the log file: Very soon after it hooks, it crashes. Here are the last couple entries of the log:

TURN GAME UP LOUDER

Joking aside, what do you have it mounted to?   Is <thing you have it mount too> vibrating / reverberating / "acting as a speaker" causing it to be louder than it should be?  I used to have a Logitech G27 and it wasn't loud, I just didn't like the gear driven force feedback and how easy it was to overpower. (ratcheting)
