Title: Upload error
Post by: DaOld Man on February 07, 2011, 06:06:34 pm
Im trying to upload Mrotate3.zip to the misc. section, but it keeps giving me an error, invalid file type.
I havent uploaded anything in a while, so it may be me, but I have tried and failed several times.

OK, I'll take a look. How big is it? You can email it to me in the meantime to post if you want, or attach it here.

I was able to upload it with no trouble. Can you try again? Were you logged in?

Huh, weird. Let me dig some more. In the meantime, if you'll give me a description and keywords you want with it I'll upload it.

Ok, tried it again with Mozilla Firefox and it didnt work.
So I thought I would try it with Internet Explorer 6 (I dont use it very often, no need to update it), and it worked!

So it looks like a problem with Firefox. (You aint on Gates' payroll are you Saint? LOL)

Im going to try pportreader now.

Thanks for your help Saint.

pportreader.zip uploaded with IE6 no problem.
I cant remember, but I may have had to use IE the last time I uploaded a program.

Now that's truly weird. I use Firefox. Dunno, will look at it with that info now...

I had this error myself. My problem was the fact that I was trying to upload files that were too big for my installation. My php.ini was set for an upload of 2M, but I wanted to upload 7M pictures. There is a bit of information on this in the gallery faq.
