Title: TouchJams logo tweak - advice
Post by: mike boss on December 24, 2017, 09:16:38 am
I'm working on re-skinning my TouchJams skin.
I haven't really messed with it in like 3 or 4 years.
I was very happy with the skin I had created, Little Black Box.
(available on the TouchJams site).
However I believe with the current version of the software the skin isn't supported.
It makes sense as the skin had a CD case looking effect in place. As Bob said nobody uses CD's now.
So that has been replaced to just show cover art.
Anyway I wanted to keep some of the basics in place. I like the hi-lite on the buttons being blue.
I like the speaker grill as the background.
However I wanted to retool the logo a little.
This is what I've done so far.... thoughts ?
Any idea what I could do to spice it up ?

Here I played around with some gradient, bevel, and stroke effects.
Whatever logo I go with will be worked into a desktop image for the PC. So right when the PC is powered on the logo is prominently displayed on the desktop. You then get the logo on the top center of the application and a little splash logo as the program loads.

Thanks all

Went with the simple logo, blue and white.
Finished up the skin (retooling of my original skin) today.
Cleaned everything up so now the black the surrounds the logo is gone, and you see the speaker grill.
Prior I had issues getting everything lined up.
This is the before work....the final product is much cleaner.
