Title: Model 3 emulator with crt emudriver issues
Post by: alex2005 on September 19, 2017, 10:32:55 am
Hi,
I've  been looking on the emulators compatibility with crt emudriver and I can't find anything related to the sega model 3 emulator, for which I am having issues.
I set up crt emudriver for super resolutions, and I cant get figure out how to set up the M3 emulator.
Basically whatever resolution I use on my 15khz monitor will result in a flickering screen.
I had this issue before with the arcadevga and could sort it out by using a 640x288 resolution, but at this moment with crt emudriver it doesnt resolve it.

Has anyone been through this before? What resolutions do you use to set up the M3 emulator?

Thanks in advance!

PS. I just realize i have about 15-20 resolutions on my monitor properties, including those at 2560x... not sure if I should add some more or select a different file in vmmaker? (monitor is a Nanao ms2930, but it does not have automatic resolution switching, so i prefer to stick to 15khz resolutions only)

Model 3 uses Medium Res, so it's 24Khz, that's why you're getting a flickering screen.

I never had this problem before with the arcadevga, i recall to set that up to a bit lower than 640x480, and it worked like a charm.
Thats strange :(

I installed VMM again and chose a Generic 15.7 khz rather than Arcade 15.7 khz , this seemed to fix the issue :)
