Title: Stuck switch message on Joust
Post by: Donkman on December 23, 2007, 01:48:58 pm
I have a Joust cocktail I have begun working on to fix some existing problems.
I have removed the leaf switch joysticks cleaned the contacts and fixed some minor problems with the pivot pins. The joysticks are working but the 1 player joystick control is coming up with a stuck switch message on the adjustments screen. The joystick is functioning normally and not stuck.  The game is playing fine on player 2 controls so I am looking for ideas on which area of the wiring harness and or pcb to examine first for the error.

where on joystick 1 is it stick, what direction? You can always take another wire that is wired to lets say the left side or right side of the stick just to test the wiring/stick. Check your connectors as well to the joystick. You can always replace the leaf pins on the stick. They are very cheap. Aree the conneciton soldered? If so then reflow the connections.
