Title: Confused on Ipac / Jpac

I purchased an IPac to use as my encoder and it works great so far.  But in my Cabinet I wanna convert (SF II) it sems the easiest way to get the monitor working is to use a JPAC.  I'm confused on exactly what the JPAC does.  Doe sthe JPAC include the same features as the IPAC?  Or is its main purpose just to connect the monitor to the PC?  What else does the JPAC do?  ANd last of all... is there any way to hook up the arcade monitor without using the jpac?  thanks in advance.

The jpac is basically a jamma version ipac.  You have about the same amount of button inputs, plus a video amplifier.  The difference is that the jpac utilizes the jamma harness to connect the buttons to your PC, instead of the screw terminals of the ipac.  So both encoders have the same function, just different connections.

Now if you want to stick with the ipac, because you don't have the money after you changed your mind, I believe Ultimarc sells a monitor amplifier for $15.
