Title: How should I rotate my monitor?
Post by: Jackson on April 12, 2002, 07:09:46 pm
I want to have my monitor rotate automatically on games that need it.  First off I want to rotate my monitor - I have a plan but any suggestions on the best way?  Secondly I want the monitor to rotate automatically, I figure the monitor could be rotated with electric motors controlled by the computer.  Would it be possible to have an "on/off" signal sent through the parallell or com port?  I would want a signal sent on games that would be 'tagged' as a vertical game, upon exit of that game the monitor could revert back to the horizontal position?
Is this possible?
Is this feasible?
Do I make any sense at all?
I'll stop rambling now.

Yes everything is possible. AOS and AdvMenu FE has an option to trigger the LPT port. Also, you gonna need a Degaussing coil cause once the monitor is turned on and you rotate it, it discolors. One your done with motor part POST it here so we can look at it...There are some examples here about rotating monitor but lot of them are manual....Check out the example page.
