Finally getting around to revisiting my MAME cabinet.
I've been playing around with MaLa and I'm having a little issue.
In my "All Games" list when I get to the last game in my L's it simply hangs, then I get an error, "MaLa not responding" & I need to shutdown.
I rebuilt the lists, but the issue persists. I'm kinda lost here, any tips, tricks, advice ?
Why would this happen ?

Just wanted to add a little notation to this thread.
As I would scroll my "All Games" list in Mala, as the games would go from titles with an "L" to "M" Mala would freeze.
I thought it was perhaps a specific ROM, so I went in and deleted the last ROM in the "L" games, "Lunar" something it was (doesn't really matter) . None the less that was not the issue!!!!
I rebuilt the "all games" list, removed a few ROMs (I'd never play anyway) from the end of my "L" titles games, and the first few "M" games. None the less issue remains !

Hopefully you found the other thread that addresses this.
First update to the latest (AFAIK in 3/2020) MaLa which is 1.82b.
Secondly, what version of MAME are you running? If it's after 0.161 or so, follow the instructions in this thread on how to modify the XML headers in your exported mame.xml.

Could be an issue loading a particular screenshot which is huge or incompatible format.
See if it happens without pics then video.
(Rename folder so Mala can't find it)

I keep a working Mala.exe backed up in another folder just in case. Try replacing just the .exe -file. I've had to do this a couple of times, can't remember what crashed then, though.
