Title: What is the actual screen size for the Sanyo 20-EZ?
Post by: floyd68 on February 17, 2018, 09:07:43 pm
I have the manual and have looked for a while but have never actually been able to find the screen measurements!

I believe

20" CRT measures 16" x 12"
19" CRT measures 15.3" x 11.5"

Is this the same for the Sanyo 20-EZ?

The screen is 48cm (19") diagonally so it's the same size as any other monitor called 19" in the US (your 15.3" x 11.5" is correct). It's called 20" because in Japan (and everywhere except in the US) the size of a CRT is given by the whole tube face not just the visible screen.

Thank you for the information.

When I look at pictures of the monitor it doesn't look like 4:3.
It looks more like 16:10 and that's why I am wondering.

When looking at the Donkey Kong Monitor insert, it doesn't look 4:3 to me.
