Has anybody tested Cruis'n' USA and Cruis'n' World with this TAP adapter method?
What about California Speed?

Which games should work with this method?

The mentioned ones in this thread are:

San Francisco Rush
San Francisco Rush: The Rock
San Francisco Rush 2049
Cart Fury

I have not but that is a great idea. Getting Rush and Cruis’n working with link play is really the holy grail for linked racing games for a lot of people.

Great job dude - would love to see some gratuitous video/pics!

Amazing work - if you made this back in 2014, this post would be 20 pages deep right now with compliments.  One of the rare innovations I've ever seen on these forums.

I'm familiar with the XL's. I also know better than to say that "Arcade1up has no intentions...." because they've surprised me already a few times.

They could still do better with the risers. The boot option is ugly.

actually, these are just regular cabinets, not for the XL,
which i guess some could be.

only the NBA jam SHAQ version is kind of an XL.
The Golden Tee 3d isnt named a version yet.

so they're still working on the naming system.

Refined the front and back lower panels, rounded off front and back edges too, might need to give it a quick sand with some 240 grit before it's wrapped.

Maybe getting ahead of myself but I've wrapped the bottom panel, installed the grill and fan, have put it one side as i won't need it till I'm ready for the final push  ;D

The wrap is "contact paper" which as a slight texture to it, had it a while, wasn't a lot of money for 10m (eBay) think it was about £9 delivered.

The line you can see is not my wrapping skills, said i was winging the design, had to add on about 18mm to the panel as i changed my mind with the rear as i was going to recess the panel but instead flushed mounted it, only realised after i had cut the panel, it's going on the bottom so won't be seen anyways

Again a long way to go but still moving forward.

@JayBee,

Great project - especially for those in Countries that don't allow even imitation guns to be sent in the mail like Australia :censored: I've been wanting guns for years and this may indeed be an option.

Just FYI, given that your firmware is based on https://github.com/samuelballantyne , in some countries you are likely legally required to provide the source code and/or have a license with the original author in order to distribute. Having said that, I'm not a Lawyer :P

I think maybe it's time they just offer up full sized cabinets.
I'm really starting to dislike the look of the cabs with the addon pedestal underneath.
it breaks up the flow of the cabinet.

the street fighter big blue is the tallest cabinet they have, and that has a riser also.

that is the only way they can package the item into a space that can fit in a flat pack
on retail shelves.

they have no intention of making standard full size cabinets. it's a licensing issue also.

You got to think outside the riser....

I've always agreed that the "boot" look isn't the best, so all my A1up's I've modified cleaned up those lines as much as possible. They can make it sleeker looking, like I did with the Tempest:

that comment was from last year.

now they are including a new segment on some cabinets that makes them taller.

see the new mortal kombat legacy, golden tee XL, nba jam shaq, tron, etc.

works about as good as buying a burned CD containing "microsoftoffice2021profullversion+keygen+crack.rar"
