I acquired a MicroSD card that is loaded with ROMS and run with Retropie. I plug and play within seconds with a Raspberry Pi 3. I’m in the process of planning for an arcade cabinet build and want to make it 4 player accessible. My question’s are this.. Am I able to take the ROMs from the MicroSD and load them onto a computer? Can I add ROMS to the MicroSD? If this is possible, how? I’m not very savvy with this kind of stuff, I’m more of the cabinet building type. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The short answer is yes.
But.....
MAMEs roms are matched to its build. And the version that runs on retropie is rather old so many roms will not work if you tried running them on a new pc version of MAME.
You could get a matching version of MAME for your pc or you could rebuild the Roms to the newest version but that would take a while.
So the best solution would be to get the newest version of MAME and its matching Rom set.

I would love to download my own and set up another retropie type setup for my Raspberry pi but I’ve never had any success in download ROMS and getting them to play. Any tips? PM’s welcome.

It's easier to start by finding a ROMset then get the same version of MAME.
-- The GUI versions like MAMEUIFX are easy to configure.
-- Don't use a "no-nag" build until you know what you're doing since it turns off all the helpful warnings and info.

Biggest tip is match your rom set to your MAME version.
If you get say a .187 rom set download .187 version of MAME.
Also dont bother adding every game, 80% of the full MAME sets you will never play so use a Rom sorter to cherry pick your lists.

Like 64 bit or 32 bit?

64 bit is definitely the way to go if your're running a 64 bit OS. ;D
