Title: Modern Wall Hanging Cabinet Build

Loved the Polycade design but hated the price tag. I built this cabinet with half inch plywood using the polycade design as a reference. Running RetroPie 4.4.

rpi3b+
EG USB arcade buttons and joysticks
U-Trak USB trackball
Flushmount USB ports
23" flatscreen TV + speakers
LED Light strip
Power strip with on/off button

How sturdy is the 1/2" plywood?  Did you just paint it or did you seal it first?

im in the process of trying to cobble together a wall hanging contraption,How do you reach the sticks when sat on the stools?looks like your knees would be up against the bottom panel.

Very sturdy, lots of wood glue and nailed from the inside with 1x1 battens. Primed and painted with high quality paint, applied with a sprayer with multiple coats.

Bit of an optical illusion here, the stools are farther away from the cabinet than they appear. No issues and you can mount the cabinet higher if needed. I have it lower for my kids to play.

Mike and Ian I’d love to see your superior cabinet builds. I designed and built this from scratch and I’m proud of it.
