Using Firefox with cursor in the username box, a small box opens up saying 'this link is insecure.....' . Does anyone else see this?

that can happen with certain image hosts. Report a post in the thread so a mod can take a look. If it happens on all the pages, the issue might be on your end.

The message appears because this site uses http, which is now considered insecure.
Firefox and the others want you to upgrade this site to use https.

when people hotlink 3rd party images on less than great sites, you can get an insecure warning and even log in dialog boxes.
